Stumbled across this place while on a day out walking. Lovely traditional pub, very nicely decorated. Good choice of traditional food which was very tasty and great portions sizes - very welcome after a day's walking. Staff were very friendly and welcoming

We called in here whilst walking around Ladybower resevoir. If you are doing the six mile walk it is about another mile and a half to the pub. Well worth the effort. Good food. Staff are very accommodating and friendly; we borrowed a map and a book of local walks to go for a hike. Bed was really comfortable and everything was clean and cosy - real milk instead of uht for tea in the room was a nice touch
