The pub is always busy with lots of passing trade. We decided to call after a lovely day out in Castleton for something to eat. We ordered the gammon and eggs £10.50. When it arrived it looks very impressive on the large plates. We was going to send back but didn't want to cause a fuss. The meal as swimming... More

Very clean and nice standart room, a fantastic pub with four different real ales and a good meal - charming views and excellent service in addition round off the pleasant impression. I will stay there again whenever I am in the region.

22 of us had a meal and everyone enjoyed this. Some said it was excellent and I would second that. We had a short wait for our table but that is because we were a late sitting and they did not rush the people before us. Marked down as not offered a jug of water and no one asked if... More

Charming pub, nice atmosphere and a great location for walks and access to all areas. Very friendly and helpful staff that worked hard to make you welcome. A varied menu provided plentiful food. Dog friendly Room 6 even though quite small had a great view of Ladybower. The main road is very busy at times although it didn't worry us.... More

After reading through the reviews on here we decided to spend our valentines day with a moorland ramble followed by a meal at Ladybower Inn.
