If you're looking for a superb little hotel and love waking up to splendid view then this is the one for you. If the fact that it also has an attached pub that serves great food and real ale then you're also in luck. The hotel would make a great base for walking trips with it's location on Ladybower Reservoir... More

Great food, great hosts and good value with fantastic views! Fantastic walking and cycling around the Ladybower area and within easy reach of Sheffield which we found some really good resturants. Wew will definatly use this hotel and location again for short breaks.

We stayed here on a last minute decision based on weather forecasts which would affect driving to derbyshire the next day. The hotel was very accommodating of us arriving late at night and had the heating on so the room was cosy for arrival. The 2 dogs were not a problem to bring with us either. Enjoyed a lovely breakfast... More

We stayed at Ladybower Inn for one night with our dog. We were pleased by the standard of the accommodation. The room was clean, comfy and warm. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. The Lamb Henry was amazing as was the steak. Breakfast the next morning was great and food again was fantastic. It is a great place to... More

We took over the the Inn for the weekend for a Gathering for my late mother. Shaun's correspondence with me before we arrived (we live in New Zealand) was superb - nothing was too much trouble for him. Over the weekend his calm and helpful demeanour (which was mirrored by his team) ensured that everything went smoothly. We loved the... More

We stayed here for New Years Eve, when we arrived we received a very warm welcome from the landlord and landlady, Shaun, & Hayley. Shaun showed us to our room which was very clean, it had a spacious bathroom but not much of a view from the window. We were in Room 3. The pub and restaurant were very cosy... More

We stayed at the Ladybower Inn for a couple of nights in November. We received a warm welcome on arrival from Landlord and staff, and were made to feel looked after and welcome throughout our stay. The room was warm, clean and comfortable - the only minor niggle was some slightly unreliable plumbing and low pressure in the shower. Not... More

One night stay in generous sized family room (with proper beds-no pull out or sofa beds). Very cosy temperature to return to after a winter's day outdoors. Only fault with room was wet room floor in need of repair. Despite beautiful location, with lots on the doorstep to explore by foot or car, most rooms unfortunately don't get to enjoy... More

We picked a day of howling winds and driving rain to walk Derwent Edge (can't blame the Inn for that). The food was good, the bed was comfortable and the room had a DVD player. Only criticism is that we both put on 2 pounds in a 2-night stay!

Lovely freshly cooked food, very friendly and helpful team. And the accommodation was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend. Lovely location. Customer service was A***. This was our second visit and would go again.
