The outside of the building is very attractive with well tended gardens and hanging baskets. The decor is traditional and in keeping with a country inn. The room was clean but the decor had a feel of seeing better days. We stayed here for a friends wedding in nearby Derby and thought we would take up the offer of the Weekend Package. On first appearance the Hotel looks nice with a nice beer garden as you pull into the car park. Parking is easy as the lot is huge so finding a space isn't a problem.... a little gem it could have been if it wasn't because of one part of the service received. sadly i didn't find management very helpful when they needed to be which is such a shame as the other staff were nice and friendly in general. i'd like to recommend this hotel more than I have but the problems with management... more

This hotel sits directly next to the main road between Ashbourne and Burton. It is a motel style hotel attached to a pub. The double room we took (as a walk in booking) was comfortably furnished, clean and of a reasonable size. We paid £59 for bed and breakfast for two.
