Stayed here in Kipling room with my sister on a visit to the dales. The hosts were pleasant and the room was clean although quite small. The ensuite was very clean but the step down into the ensuite was difficult to negotiate. A little disappointed that, although advertised, there was no lounge to relax in at the end of the... More

I stayed here with my husband as we were attending a wedding at Shottle Hall. It is in a great location for visiting Ashbourne which is only a 5 minute drive away. We stayed in the Bronte Room which was very homely and comfortable! It was spotlessly clean and had a great selection of tea/ coffee including bottled water, biscuits... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in the Bronte Room. The hosts were lovely, the room was really clean and we slept very well both nights. In the morning, the breakfast was super tasty, with lots of local produce and homemade jams featuring on the menu. We would definitely stay here again.

This is not the first time I have stayed at the Wheel House but my first revue. A warm welcome as I arrived, the room was very clean, breakfast all from local produce including the bacon, worth a visit.

We liked the Wheelhouse, especially little touches like bottled water and fresh milk provided per room daily and toiletries. Only negatives were street lamp shining into Kipling - twin room,(blackout curtains would have solved that one) and very deep steps down into en-suite. However it was comfortable and the breakfasts were lovely. Also the garden was beautiful.

This B&B in Hulland Ward near Ashbourne is just perfect for a walking or cycling holiday in the lovely Derbyshire dales. Breakfast is delicious and feels quite luxurious because of the high quality presented. Brian and Valerie look after you so kindly ... It was just a blessing really. A very peace full place. We stayed in the well equipped Bronte room which has dual aspect views across the countryside. Lots of nice little touches - fresh milk in a thermos, biscuits, sweets, bottled water, toiletries etc. A lovely breakfast to start the day with lots of choice including duck eggs, local bacon and sausage, with home made jams and marmalade. In the evening... More

Biscuits and sweets are provided as well as toiletries. For breakfast... More
