I booked the Station Hotel for the 26th of June as myself and my partner were attending a wedding at Callow Hall, it was also my partners birthday so we wanted something nice. Upon arrival they informed us our room had been upgraded as a treat for my partners birthday at no extra charge. Our upgraded room was huge with... More

I stayed here with my partner as we had a works party to attend at the Osmaston Marquee. This was the only half decent place to stay I could find in Ashbourne and we paid £90 for the night b&b. Although we liked the hotel, I wouldn't stay here again and thought the price was on the high side. upon... More

Great old traditional step back in time hotel. great little town, again stuck in time on your doorstep. Hotel is well managed and we had a large room four-poster bed and very traditional furniture to match. It was a pleasure for my girlfriend and i to stay in. Try there local pilsner too :)) also had a jacuzzi in the... More

Excellent location with just a walk into the town centre. Hotel with a lot of character, comfortable bedroom and the service from Nicky both on reception and at Breakfast was exceptional. As we did not want to eat in the hotel Nicky was quite happy to recommend a range of local restaurants. Although only stayed one night would be more... More

the rooms are huge for the price you pay. very homely feel to this hotel especially with how helpful the staff are. highly would recommend it. only fault i would say was that the shower head wasnt powerful enough. but you get a big bath with a big bathroom so it more than makes up for it:) thanks. see you... I would love to make a more informed judgement of this hotel, but having booked a room with them MONTHS ago, they cancelled my reservation just a couple of days before my visit. Did they call to tell me they were cancelling? No, it was just an automated email! The purpose of our visit to this hotel was to attend... More

I've stayed here several times over the past 5 or 6 years and it's always a nice stay. It's an old hotel (100 years plus?) which is furnished to give an idea of what it would have been like in those days - nice atmosphere, nice staff and very solid breakfasts!

We are a couple in our 30's and we stayed for two nights at the end of may. We just wanted somewhere to stay in the area as we where visiting Alton Towers (which is a 20 minute drive away). We were greeted by a lovely young lady on reception who showed us to our rooms and helped us with... More

A really great find for luxury on a budget, very welcoming and attentive owners and a perfect location for Alton Towers and the Peak District. We had a bottle of red waiting for us in our 4 poster room with red and gold decor and beautiful old furniture. My partner is 6'4 and he loved how spacious the bed was.... More

This hotel is lovely! We arrived on Sunday 18th May and stayed for one night after a tiring day at Alton Towers. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist who swiftly checked us in and showed us our room. This is an old hotel with plenty character and the rooms were very nice and comfortable! We stayed in room 15... More
