I just spend two nights at the green dragon. It is a lovely homely hotel with the nicest owners Steve and Angela. My room was spotless, warm and comfortable with a lovely view of the square. It is really close to Curwen park which has beautiful walks. Steve cooked me a lovely breakfast every morning. I enjoyed a glass of... More

My stay at the Green Dragon was excellent. The owners, Angela and Steve Bell and their team couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The place is a real home from home. the room was cleaned thoroughly daily, very comfortable and warm. The décor is in keeping with a very lovely inn . All in All 10 out 10 plus.... More

We stayed here for 2 nights, 17th and 18th December. If you're looking for 4 star, impersonal hotel, look elsewhere, whereas if you want a friendly home from home, this is the place for you. The rooms are spotless, the beds are comfortable, and the staff can't do enough for you. Our son and his wife were also staying with... More

Stayed here over an eight week period and couldn't ask for anything better. Very friendly and courteous owners and staff. Rooms and facilities spotless and beds as comfy as your own home. Very pleasant location and never had a problem with parking.

My family recently stayed here for a funeral and the hotel was fantastic. The owners and staff were so friendly and really looked after us. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. Yes people have said about there not being any tea and coffee facilities in the room but you don't need it, you have full use of the kitchen... More

Very friendly staff, rooms are immaculate always kept spick and spam, full English breakfast is amazing, no tea and coffee in the rooms but never a problem, if you would like a brew one of the staff would happily supply you with one free of charge. The bar and ale is well kept, all in all I would highly recommend... More

Stayed over for one night prior to doing the coast to coast bike ride in May 2013. The hotel was closed when we got there (late afternoon) but there was someone there to let us check in so this was no problem. Our room was modern and very clean. There was also sufficient space to store our bikes. The staff... More

We were part of a group taking 5 rooms for a family function in Workington. Room was nice, beds comfortable. Parking is a potential problem with limited space on the square in front of the hotel. On the square it is only possible to stop for an hour outwith Sundays and evenings. However, a pay and display behind the hotel... More

This is a lovely hotel, very clean and cosy. Wonderful comfy bed - slept like a log! Nice big bedroom and huge bathroom. Would definitely stay here again. Angela is lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Car parking on the street no problem and Angela will give you a disc for your car to avoid Traffic Wardens. Thank you... More
