Stayed one night in June. What a surprise for a modest town hotel. Quiet location in a Georgian square, as peaceful as being in the country, but a few minutes walk to the centre of town, with decent shopping, restaurants and good pubs. Spotlessly clean and comfortable room. Very good en suite. Free wifi. Great freshly made breakfasts. Clean, comfortable... More

We stayed here for a night whilst working in the area, the owners are lovely, very welcoming and genuine, they was having a bit of work done but if it wasn't for seeing the workman outside you wouldn't of known it was going on, my room was very nice and clean, I must of been given a family room, it... Booked and paid for a buffet for a small family celebration. Proprietors 'forgot' so we waited outside in the rain for over 30 minutes until they could be contacted, several family members had to leave early so only had time for one drink and as the buffet was still being prepared they didn't have time to wait so they could... We recently spent two nights at the Green Dragon Inn and were pleasantly surprised. The room was comfortable and immaculately clean. Steve cooks a fab breakfast, as does Karen when Steve's not around. There is a lovely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in the bar of an evening. All in all a lovely place to stay with very friendly hosts Angela... More

I just spend two nights at the green dragon. It is a lovely homely hotel with the nicest owners Steve and Angela. My room was spotless, warm and comfortable with a lovely view of the square. It is really close to Curwen park which has beautiful walks. Steve cooked me a lovely breakfast every morning. I enjoyed a glass of... More

We stayed here for 2 nights, 17th and 18th December. If you're looking for 4 star, impersonal hotel, look elsewhere, whereas if you want a friendly home from home, this is the place for you. The rooms are spotless, the beds are comfortable, and the staff can't do enough for you. Our son and his wife were also staying with... More

Stayed here over an eight week period and couldn't ask for anything better. Very friendly and courteous owners and staff. Rooms and facilities spotless and beds as comfy as your own home. Very pleasant location and never had a problem with parking.

My family recently stayed here for a funeral and the hotel was fantastic. The owners and staff were so friendly and really looked after us. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. Yes people have said about there not being any tea and coffee facilities in the room but you don't need it, you have full use of the kitchen... More
