Stayed here for one night in April as I had an early morning meeting in Workington Nice clean functional room Helpful and welcoming owners All Parking is on - street, but close by. Good quality breakfast. £50 for a single room, which is a little on the high side for what I pay across Cumbria hence why I only gave... More

When we first arrived I felt it was different to what I expected but once inside it was much better. The friendly welcome from Margaret was almost family like then Andrew came into the lounge and he was just as friendly. He showed us around our room (called Corkickle) and it was nicely furnished with great finishing touches such as... More

After staying at the guest house for four months I would strongly advise anybody looking for a stay in Whitehaven, be it short or long term, to book themselves in with Andrew and Margaret at the Glenfield. Over the time I was there I was made to feel so welcome. They made the process of being away from home for... More

Absolutely lovely place and charming hosts ! Stayed here for 2 nights only but have already decided to come here again and have also recommended the place to our business travel organisers. Everything was just right, old house nicely decorated, large room with nice beds with duvets of right thickness, full tea kit, en suite power shower, TV that not... More

Nice welcome and helpful encouragement and advice for our very wet journey ahead. Rooms were comfortable, clean and warm and there was secure space to store the bikes. Breakfast was a good size full english and plenty of cereals and coffee. Whitehaven town centre and harbour is a five minute walk a bit tricky for food out of season after... More

We stayed here at the end of biking the Reviers Route. The owners were very helpful and friendly, a warm welcome after a wet and windy ride! They allowed us to carry out bikes through the B&B out to the back garden, where they then moved them for us into a lockable shed for the night. The rooms were very... More

We stopped here while cycling the Hadrian's wall cycle route. This is one of he best B&B's around. Very welcoming and the food is of the highest quality. We will be back for the C2C next time. More

Well what can I say other than if you are a cyclist about to embark on the coast to coast ride for charity in one day then avoid this place like the plague. I would also avoid if you happen to be northener or southerner as they arr disliked too. I have never been spoken to so rudely in all... More

We are completely confident that all of our other previous guests, including those that have returned frequently and stayed with us for up to twenty months, will read this with incredulity. Amongst those returners is this reviewer’s own cycling colleague who stated in an email “Thanks once again for being so accommodating”. The thousands of cyclists that have seen their... More
