Great location. plenty of parking. Helpful owners. Lovely old house kept beautifully. Bed was very comfortable and we slept with windows open as the room faced the garden so very quiet. Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice and the full English was delicious. Owner recommended 'Crosby's for fish and chips. good choice. Second night we ate at the pub that... More

Stayed one night before starting C2C. Great place with friendly staff and facilities. On first arrival we were greeted warmly and bikes got locked away safely. Bed's very comfy and the bathroom is the best I've ever seen in a B&B or even hotel! The breakfast was to the same standard and served quickly. Very much like the oragnised breakfast... More

I stayed at this wonderful b & b recently on a genealogy trip to Whitehaven. It is well situated, a short 5 minute walk into the town centre. The building evokes elegance of a bye gone age and I wondered what stories its wall could tell of its former inhabitants. Whoever they were they must have been monied people living... More

We stayed for 6 nights in this up market B&B. We were immediately impressed by the warm friendly welcome from the owners. The rooms were very well equipped, including very efficient showers. The beds were particularly comfortable with supportive mattresses. The rooms were recently decorated and very clean. Breakfasts were delicious.

We stayed at the Corner House to attend a friends 50th birthday party. The Derwent Room was spacious and decorated to a very high and stylish standard. The shower room was spacious and bright with a lovely power shower. The hosts Dave and Leisa were first class. Professional and very friendly. Breakfast was served in a light airy dining room. The... Came over to Whitehaven to celebrate a friends birthday. Stayed at this fantastic B & B. Could not fault it at all. We stayed in the Derwent Room, bed was very comfortable, wet room/shower brilliant. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice, all pre-ordered which I thought was a great idea, just sat down and there it was. Very attentive... More

We stayed one night in the windermere room which was absolutely beautiful, very spacious with everything we needed. We had a gorgeous view of the lovely garden and enjoyed a really good night's sleep. The breakfast was generous with multiple choices and delicious. We would definately stay again especially after meeting the resident pooch who was just too cute :-)

This fine old house on the edge of the toe centre has been beautifully transformed into a gorgeous, welcoming bed and breakfast facility. Breakfast is available a pre-order basis with ample options from a veggie breakfast through smoked salmon and scrambled eggs through the traditional English breakfast -- all at whatever time you choose. Very convenient for business travelers. Large,... More

I am pretty sure there are cheaper options, but why would you bother ? you won't find better. We had the Ennerdale room, and my wife fell in love with the bathroom straight away (5 baths in 3 days!) spotlessly clean, with a homely feel. An amazing breakfast, with a easy ordering system the night before meant a freshly cooked... More

Stayed for two nights in a twin room. Very spacious and comfortable. Large bathroom with good amenities. Friendly welcome from Dave. Shown to room and explained everything about the breakfast. Easy walk into Whitehaven. Rooms very quiet at night. Breakfast was great. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, juice, cereals, porridge and of course a freshly cooked hot breakfast. A treat also to... More
