This is a good hotel, with lovely staff. The bed was comfortable, the room was a decent size, and the shower was great. We had two evening meals, and a bar snack, and found them all to be really delicious and well presented. It is a nice stroll down into the town centre (even with a bad knee, and sore... More

Stayed for one night before a bike race. Quite a few bikers staying over and the hotel staff were kind enough to serve a 6am breakfast. We stayed in a double room. Very basic but clean. They welcomed our dog and made a real fuss of him. We had a meal which was ok for the price but not particularly... More

Cracking place! Looks a little tired on the outside and maybe a bit dated with some of the interior decor in the public rooms but do not be put off. The rooms are modern, well done out and have everything needed. Bathroom was big, spotlessly clean with a cracking power shower. Decent desk for work and flat plasma telly for... More

The hotel is on the A595about half a mile south of Whitehaven town, rooms are clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. we did not try the restraint as it is closed on Sunday evening but the breakfast which was cooked to order was fine.

We stayed here last week as a base for the start of the coast to coast adventure. Our room was a really good size, comfy beds but the shower was disappointing. The food was nice, tasty and good portions.

This was the second time I have stayed at the Chase and both times I have been impressed, it's nothing fancy but the rooms are clean, well equipped and a good size. The restaurant serves a tasty evening meal and a good breakfast and even though the hotel is on a fairly busy road it isn't noisy. I visit Whitehaven... More

We stayed at the start of our C2C ride. It's a perfectly functional hotel - clean, comfortable and spacious. Nice modern bathroom and very quiet rooms. The food was average but hot, freshly cooked and perfectly fine. Theres a nice terrace to sit out on and lots of parking. Service was fine and the cost was reasonable. Decent breakfast.

We were staying here to start the Coast to Coast cycle ride. For that it's great and offers good value. If you are looking for more of a hotel experience, rather than just a convenient bed, then I'd look elsewhere. It's all pretty old and very reminiscent of Faulty Towers....

This was our first visit to the chase hotel. We stayed over due to working in the local area. Our office sorted all the booking info and payment etc, so we had no idea which hotel had been booked for us until Sunday (checked in on the Monday) Once we had a name of this hotel I looked it up on... A reception for a group attending a funeral.Parking is adequate despite fairly extensive scaffolding due to external restorations. The bar is fairly comprehensively stocked and reasonably comfortable.the restaurant is of average size , furnishing is average. The food was basic and unexceptional in range and quality .Service was quick and friendly
