Normally go here for a meal, I've never slept before but I must say the food is never ever disappointing, I really don't think the chase gets enough credit!! There is a wide range of foods available and on Sunday there is always a delicious 3 course meal!!

Stayed one night only on a business trip. Room was nothing special but had everything you would expect and the WiFi was working. Good big car park - helpful to me as I was driving a van. Only saw one member of staff who was doing an excellent job running the reception desk and the bar in the evening and... More

We rewarded ourselves with a night at this lovely friendly hotel after climbing Scarfell . The lovely room and hot bath were both very welcome . Staff were all very helpful and breakfast was freshly cooked and hot.

I arrived late at night, my colleague having arrived about 20 minutes before me, so I was expected but I had to ring the doorbell twice to be let in. I apologised for my lateness and the gentleman said something like "I'll beat you up later" - presumably a joke but having driven 3 hours to get there, it wasn't... More

We stayed on Sat 24th Oct 2015. We had a double and single room, both of which were modern and clean. The rooms had everything that you needed, the bathroom had a great shower and lots of hot water. The whole hotel was warm and inviting. Its located at the edge of town however a quick 10 minute walk and... More

The Chase Hotel seems to have been part of Whitehaven history for years. I must admit to have not visited this Hotel very often to use the restaurant facilities. A group of 8 friends decided to visit the Hotel for lunch last week, and I was delighted by the friendly service we received. The food was delicious and well presented,... More

Recently stayed two nights at the hotel when on a driving holiday in the UK. The room was large, clean, and had a comfortable bed. There was a large private parking area for the car. It was an easy stroll to the shops and harbour. Breakfast was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful. The cost was reasonable, so no complaints... More
