Hi I believe this review is intended for the Farmers Arms in Market Street, Ulverston and not the Farmers Arms, Lowick Green. This review has been posted against the wrong property. More

We have had some great holidays here, admittedly not for a year or so. They now don't want us to bring our daughter and say in their own words "we are not set up for kids". My daughter is three, tiny and shy. I would understand if I was bringing a rabble of kids, but this is crazy and such... More

I think there has been a misunderstanding here. The hotel building is very old and the rooms were separated many years ago into a variety of en suite and single rooms. Unfortunately the room sizes are not very bigl and we do not have any family rooms. Also as the room sizes are quite challenging there is not enough room... More

We found the farmers Arms excellent and cannot fault it...it is very old..so space can be a bit limited at times but it was very clean and the owners run a very good and busy show..meals are excellent in the pub and it is all very reasonable in price Top marks!

I have eaten in the farmers many times in the last 3 years, as it is on my way home from where I stay in the lakes. The food has been consistently good. On August 20th, myself and three friends eat here after a days walking on the Coniston fells. The staff are friendly. I had the beef and mushroom... More

Was a bit apprehensive at paying £35 for a single room and breakfast but needn't have worried. This place is charming. The actual bedroom was a bit 70s and quite small but had everything that I needed. My room didn't have an ensuite but the shared bathroom on the floor was acceptable. Friendly welcome when we arrived and all the... More

Lovely clean rooms, if slightly basic. Water flow in the shower was a bit iffy but nice and hot! The evening meal was delicious and reasonably priced! Breakfast was nice, although a bigger continental selection would have been nice as the cooked breakfast was quite heavy. Overall a nice weekend break!

We stopped here for lunch on the way back from Ulverston. The staff were friendly but the interior decor looks like a country pub kit from the 1970s (including swirly carpet). We all had the burgers, which were prepared on the premsies and thus were available rare (unusually). However, when the burgers arrived (despite no mention on the menu) they... More
