Visited the Famers Arms for an evening meal twice now whilst on holiday nearby at Coal Yeat. The foos really is very, very food. Can highly recommend Chicken Liver Pate, Garlic Mushooms and Prawn Cocktail as starters. For mains we can recommend Venison Steak, Lamb Henry, Lasagne and Steak Pie. Service was fast and friendly. Portion size very generous. Overall... More

We fell over this hotel by chance. We hadn't booked and only wanted food. We were made very welcome and soon sat at a table ( 2 adults and 2 children) Food was lovely, service excellent all within a warm and very friendly environment. It is out in the sticks, but well worth a visit. Highly recommended

Well worth the trip to get to this lovely country pub. The Sunday dinners of lamb and beef were beautiful. The gluten free apple crumble is also a must try. Plesent staff, well priced food. We will be back to try the midweek menu

I had never been to The Farmers Arms before even though I have driven passed endless times on my travels. We decided to pop in a couple of weeks ago for tea before heading home and although busy they managed to fit us in. We were not disappointed, lovely atmosphere with great food and polite staff! This place always seems... More

I was really impressed with the farmers arms, perfect food, good portion sizes at reasonable prices, with friendly staff who welcomed our lovely pets with open arms. Would highly recommend to friends!

We have had some great holidays here, admittedly not for a year or so. They now don't want us to bring our daughter and say in their own words "we are not set up for kids". My daughter is three, tiny and shy. I would understand if I was bringing a rabble of kids, but this is crazy and such... More

I think there has been a misunderstanding here. The hotel building is very old and the rooms were separated many years ago into a variety of en suite and single rooms. Unfortunately the room sizes are not very bigl and we do not have any family rooms. Also as the room sizes are quite challenging there is not enough room... More
