We booked this B&B en route to Scotland, and we can truly say that it is one of the nicest places we've ever stayed in. Sue is a lovely host, the accommodation is superb, the breakfasts are all that you could ask for, and the view from the windows over the bay is one to die for. We could have... More

I needed a base for a long weekend in the Lake District with one of my oldest friends for a girly trip, so I booked a double room for us at the Sea Wood Bed and Breakfast purely based on reviews. On arrival, I was so pleasantly surprised by the location - it was absolutely stunning. I tried to capture... More

Firstly, what a wonderful warm welcome! Sue was an absolute gem and I felt at home within minutes. Lovely room spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous with a lovely view over the water. Stayed here while attending weekend event at Manjushri Buddhist Centre. Have recommended to others and will definitely return when back in Ulverston. Fab!

Lovely little b+b, took a bit of finding but was definitely worth it, even if just for the views. I'd arrived after dark in pretty rough weather, having driven up a very narrow lane at the side of the lake wondering if I was going the right way to get there. The room and facilities were great, simple and well... More

Stayed for weekend wish we could have stayed longer. Made to feel very very welcome by Sue. Our room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Breakfast such a wide range and cooked perfectly. Stunning views over the estuary with local wildlife. Short taxi ride into town with some lovely pubs and restaurant's. We adored Chester And Zac two doggies we could... More

The room was very nice, recently decorated and Sue kindly upgraded us. Bathroom was large. Everything was very clean. Very quiet location with stunning views across the estuary and we were almost joined for breakfast, which was very good with a wide choice, by rabbits & robins. Sue, our host & Zac & Chester the dogs were very welcoming and... More

A very welcoming and relaxing B&B. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, everything was exceptionally clean and comfortable. There is a wide variety of choice for breakfast which was delicious! There is a lovely view overlooking the estuary and an easy drive for all the Lakes. We really enjoyed meeting Sue who was so warm and welcoming and made us feel so... More

Stumbled on seawood after looking at a different place to stay which gave the link to seawood. Glad we did. It's a gem. So clean and welcoming and has official 5 star ratings for food hygiene and accommodation. The views are amazing. Ulverston itself is a short taxi ride away with plenty of places to eat. Sue is the hostess... More

This is a really lovely little B&B in absolutely stunning surroundings. We would recommend a dawn walk on the beach to watch the beautiful sunset! The B&B itself is homely and comfortable and very welcoming. Sue made us feel right at home and was so helpful with anything we needed. Breakfast was yummy too!

A lovely homely place off the beaten track but a stone's throw from the bay. Welcomed by Chester and Sue and later to meet Roger. We stayed in room 1 with its own ensuite. Breakfast supplied with a hot menu choice that is suitable for everyone. Next time we visit the area my husband will bring his sea fishing equipment... More
