Excellent accommodation. Clean, quiet, friendly staff. Discount entry to castle. Pleasant gardens. Play areas for kids. Free access to owls. Cooked breakfast was a bit salty although kitchen with dishwasher, washer, dryer, fridge, freezer, microwave and range cooker is available. Also available is TV lounge with games. more

The accommodation at Muncaster Castle Guest House was very comfortable and clean. We stayed here for one night in October, 2004. We booked the accommodation via phone at short notice and the new owners there were very accommodating and hospitable. The room was fairly small, but extremely clean and comfortable. Unfortunately there was no TV in the room, just a... more

If you're looking for a weekend away then Muncaster Castle is not for you. We wanted a weekend away in Cumbria, hoping to spend the Saturday looking around Muncaster and going to beach and then seeing the lakes on the Sunday. As you may or may not be aware Muncaster Castle offers B&B accommodation in the Coach House which was... more
