We had drinks before dinner each... More

Lovely little hide away in an idyllic area of the lake district. Faultless service and brilliant selection of beers. Only downfall is the lack of shower pressure but this is easily overlooked, would definitely stay again.

The food and beer in this place are top class....and the beer is reasonably priced too..very friendly staff. Ideal place to start walks from knowing you are coming back to a good beer or three....We will defineilty be going back some time soon.

7 of us stayed here as a base to climb Scafell Pikes. The people here are so friendly and helpful, food is really great and their beer is good and not too expensive. Although it is not perfect in regards to decor the rooms are more than adequate, the place is lovely and clean with loads of hot water, important... More

Excellent food served quickly, best cooked veg ever. Six own beers on hand pump and more in bottles. Log fire, good atmosphere and a mile from cottages to rent at woodhow farm.
