Likes -Superb Victorian experiance the manor has been kept in wonderfully good condition.Idillic setting with fanastic panorama of Lake Windermere from the beautifully lanscaped gardens. We only went here for dinner, but thought it was great. Lovely location, had a g&t out overlooking the river. Gardens are immaculate. Beautiful reception rooms, very comfortable. Excellent canapes and service. Once the staff realised we were on honeymoon, they thoughtfully seated us a little bit apart from the guests at a window where we could watch the sunset.... more

Really liked this hotel, rooms were great, we got a good deal with dinner and breakfast included in the price. The food was nice and was great as part of the deal, however, I think I'd have been a bit disappointed had we paid the £38 each for the set menu, which was the normal price, as in a restaurant... more
