A beautiful location and picturesque building are the first thing you notice - then it goes steadily downhill from there. The four poster rooms are small with a bog standard freeview TV and little else. Arranged for my husbands 40th birthday with 8 friends at this hotel. The setting, ambience, rooms and staff were fabulous. The bar and restaurant is cosy, traditional and was welcoming after a days walking. The service from our designated waiter was fantastic. more
