The food in the restaurant is a fabulous way to end the day. The food is wonderful, plentiful with a good choice. Evening meals are waiter/waitress... More

We have just returned from a 2 night break at the Patterdale Hotel. We stayed because we have driven past on previous stays in the area.We paid for a room with a view and it was well worth the extra. It was a twin room (125) which was roomy and had a large bathroom. The whole place was spotlessly clean and the... Stayed for 3 nights half-board as a party of 8 adults. It's difficult to see why the hotel hasn't got extra stars from the AA/RAC. The whole place is clean and comfortable and we spent many hours in the bar - our thanks to the staff who stayed up to keep serving us! The majority of the guests (95% adults)... More

Once we'd ordered from the limited range available, the food arrived suspiciously quickly. My grilled trout was luke-warm, as was the small selection of 'mediterranean vegetables' provided. The chips were however hotter and... More

Only a review of the bar/restaurant, where we had a late lunch recently. A large, tasty burger and plate of chips went down well with a few pints of local ale. Ideal end to a fabulous day out. Particularly appreciate the all-day service.
