My husband and I have just returned from a fantastic two night stay at this hotel and spa, and what can I say, it ticked all the boxes for us. From an exhausted husband who has been working away in America, to a tired Mummy of 3 year old twins and two very energetic little girls, it couldn't have been... More

Both myself and my partner visited the spa. Treatments were well priced rooms were exceptional and modern. All equipment was modern and spa staff were very competent. Lovely view over the river. I would return tomorrow can't comment on hotel as we didn't stay here.

Stopped by for dinner last night in the bar restaurant. Staff were friendly, and advised a 20minute wait for meals. Fair enough. However 1 HOUR later the food finally arrived - at least 3 of our four ordered meals. The 4th had been forgotten. The staff did a good job at recovery (free desert), but with two young and tired... My wife and I stopped here by chance, as weary and disabled visitors looking constantly in vain for restaurants with nearby free parking on Lake Windermere. It's one of the very few such places, at the bottom of the lake. From the outside it looked very attractive, on the waterside and we had high hopes of a good meal. But... More

We stayed here for our 'mini moon' at the beginning of March. The hotel and spa were very good but it was let down by the bar and restaurant. There were always lots of staff behind the bar but it took a while to get served, we had to wait a couple of times whilst people who had arrived after... More

The restaurant is a total joke for a hotel of this standard. It is the same menu as the bar area so by the time we sat down and having waited 20 mins to place our order most of the specials were sold out, as well as some of the standard offers. Totally spoiled our stay and we will not... More

Met with work colleagues for dinner .. bar service excellent .. moved to the restaurant where we had reserved a table, this is where the wheel fell off .. service was slow, the waitress had no idea about the specials, however on we ploughed ... food was a mixture of very average meals albeit the starters beating the main course... Visited area and visited here for lunch and dinner. Both were very enjoyable. Nice clean modern setting, quirky decoration. Ate in the bar at lunchtime and couldn't fault it. Soup and sandwich hit the spot. Decided to come back in the evening for dinner and wasn't disappointed. Staff were all very helpful and polite.

Booked to stay at the hotel as part of an award from work. I was accompanied by 7 other work colleagues. Overall although the staff were welcoming the entire experience on a whole was far from great. The facilities with in the pool area were not as good as they seemed on the website with the pool being quite small.... More
