Just returned from a truely superb week long holiday at Brockwood Hall. Took my God-daughter and her family and everyone said it was their best holiday so far. The accomodation was 5star throughout with spectacular views. The grounds are beautiful and maintained to the highest standard. Brockwood Hall is an ideal base for exploring the Lake District. It is peacefully... More

We booked this as it came up as a great deal for a week during April holidays which can easily be over 600.00 for accommodation alone. However on welcome cottages this holiday came up at less than half that price so we jumped at such a great price. After booking, the reviews I read made me slightly nervous. However, we... More

Have just come back from a 3 night stay and have to say that having read some of the reviews before we went, I thought we were prepared for our stay. we stayed in the pine lodge and although it was very clean and tidy, the carpets did have a few stains that you couldn't help but notice, you couldn't... I am very sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay with us, it has never been our intention to mis-lead people in saying that we are dog friendly; restricting people from bringing dogs into the main house during food service hours has been done by popular demand. Thank you for bringing the matter to our attention, we will try to... More

As our regular center parcs visitor I was a little bit dubious about what to expect from Brockwood hall, but booked this weekend on the spare of the moment as a living social deal. After a fantastic weekend in Brockwood Hall I'm not sure I would ever go back to centre parcs! it's just not worth paying that sort of... More

Just got back from our stay at brockwood hall, we stayed in a coniston lodge. Personally found this place to be beyond all expectations. Was lovely that we were able to bring pets too. The lodge itself was clean and extremely spacious with picturesque views and felt extremely homey. The swimming pool was always quiet and never overcrowded which was... More

Came here for half term with two kids and the dog, staying Mon to Fri. Picked Hoseasons mainly as it is dog friendly. Good points, biggish kitchen area, decking, views of the countryside. We stayed in Derwent Lodge and it was clean and serviceable if a bit small and dated (think 70s pine ski lodge). The bedrooms were small and... More

We booked through hoeseasons for our small family holiday. I didn't read any tripadvisor reviews prior to booking, but once I did, I was very close to cancelling due to the bad reports. We arrived, tired after 4.5 hours drive with a toddler, and alarm bells rang upon seeing the upside down restaurant chalkboard in the carpark. Hubby collected keys,... More

Just returned home after an excellent 2 day stay in a Windermere lodge. Ample room for 6 adults in a beautiful part of the South Lakes. Very reasonably priced in a Living Social deal. Staff very friendly and helpful and the meals were very good. Highly recommend the wildlife park at Dalton. All in all an excellent break at a... More
