I'm not really one for user reviews and the like but had to take time out to recommend this charming farmhouse in a beautiful, remote location in the Lake District. I was recommended a trip to the Buttermere area by a work colleague and was so delighted by his choice that I could not resist taking him home a bottle... More

Excellent place to stay, quiet and peaceful, Stunning location and beautifully furnished house, with bathroom features in all the rooms. Breakfast sets you up for the day and dinner can be requested. I would have no hesitation in recommending this guest house to anyone. Nothing is too much trouble for Hazel, the owner of this beautiful property. More

enjoyed staying there. Loved the room and the roll top bath. Also a very friendly and helpful host named Hazel. A lovely old dated house and very comfortable with a lovely log fire. We would certainly go again. Also there is a Cafe/restaurant right by the side of it More

Luxurious, friendly, informal. We stayed in the Lowfell room and it was fab, especially the roll top bath. The decor and furnishings in the house were amazing. The bedding was luxurious and there were treats in the room like home made biscuits and fruit. We had dinner one night which was wonderful. The views were great and its a central... More

We stayed for three nights in the front room with the huge double bed and the roll top bath in the middle of the spacious bathroom. From the warmth of the welcome to the final breakfast everything was trerrific and Hazel could not have been more delightful. Her dinner and breakfasts were wonderful and the accommodation was luxurious. We chose... More
