We stayed 3 nights for Valentines weekend. From the moment we checked in the service was faultless. The room in the annexe we stayed in was well furnished, clean and spacious. The bathroom was amazing. All of the staff are very kind, courteous and friendly it's like meeting up with old friends. Breakfast was great but the home made pies... More

We visited the Gosforth Hall Hotel just after New Year for a family friend's birthday and this pub is fantastic. It's got a great atmosphere with the staff and local patrons very welcoming and friendly. Their speciality pies are awesome and have so much filling it's a struggle to finish. (I recommend the Spicy Moroccan lamb) A great place to... More

A well-furnished room, with all the necessary furniture and an elegant taste for the details could enhance the quality of an an accomodation, as it does in Gosforth Hall Inn Regarding the restaurant, well...The meat and the vegetable preparation weren't outstanding but at the end acceptable. The overall atmoshpere is quiete warm and relaxing

I've stayed there on few occasions while on business. There is a bizarre mixture of old pub (main building with restaurant) and the annex with all the rooms (new bit). Pub is a nice old style English pub with selection of real ales and spirits and of course your mainstream lagers. Staff is friendly (even too friendly at the times,... More

Staying at Gosforth in a cottage for a weekend break my wife and I had booked a table for 2 in the Gosforth Hall Inn restaurant for 8pm. We arrived arrived an hour or so early so we could have a drink at the bar before eating. There was a lovely feel to the place with a warm atmosphere aided... More

This hotel gets better every time i come. Renovations are ongoing but i stayed in the new annex which is excellent. Modern, clean and built to a hig standard. You are guaranteed a good nights sleep. The food is amazing, try the home made pies. All the staff are really friendly and as they say enter a stranger, leave a... More

We received a wonderful welcome, the food was fantastic and the staff could not do enough to help and provide information. Food- the homemade pies are full of huge chunks of meat served with gravy. The chefs chocolate and Guinness cake served with hot chocolate sauce and ice cream was delicious. Breakfast was made using the best quality sausage, bacon,... More

We've just returned from a 2 night break at this quaint pub/restaurant/hotel, stayed in room 11 with it's huge bed and bath and loved it. The staff and owners of Gosforth Hall are outstanding. The pies are delicious as are the real chips. There are some quirks as you might expect from such an old building, I'm sure the renovations... More

After doing Ben Nevis we travelled down to the Gosforth Hall Inn, wet and very tired!! Due to road works etc. we didn't actually arrive until after 11pm, but there was someone waiting ready to check us in and get us off to our rooms - the process was very quick for all 20 of us! We were out in... More

We stayed in the 'new building' .... 2 appts downstairs & 8 (I think) rooms upstairs .... I don't know when it was built but would suggest it was quite recently. The rooms are modern, simply furnished but very comfortable. The showers are high quality & quite large with nice toiletries provided free. Breakfast was served in the main building... More
