As a family visiting the site it was nice enough, but there are a lot of rules and signs. I think that the most irritating bit though is that after paying for camping you then have to pay for showering on top. Not only that, but men have to pay more for their showers than women - in that a... More

What a lovely well organised clean campsite, I had read that some people said it was run like a military camp?!?! No it's just organised, friendly staff brilliant walks and the choo choo train is an added bonus. If you want rowdy it's not the place for you, if you want to be able to have a fire and sit... More

Spent 4 nights at Fisherground campsite and it was wonderful , staff were friendly and very helpful. Our children ( 10 and 8 ) thought the play area was great and we loved the peace and quite. If there was a downside for us it was too far from the things the kids wanted to do from the campsite also... More

We've stayed here several times and certainly will return but I agree with the many comments that people have made about the rude staff. I found their grumpiness almost charming until our most recent visit, when we asked to be placed on the field by the shower block and were told that only 'small tents' were allowed there; the following... With this being our first trip out in our camper (to a campsite) and not really knowing about the way things work such as what we do with the waste water etc. The wardens were more than helpful. They welcomed us even though we turned up over an hour late! We were on and off the phone to them for... More

Returned yesterday from a long weekend at Fisherground Campsite. Reception had our booking ready and one of the wardens took me over on one of the buggies to check out where we were going to pitch. Fabulous spot on EHU. He stayed on to help me unhitch and turn the camper round. The wardens popped back to check we were... More

Wife booked this campsite for the weekend and paid a £12 deposit. I rang less than 24 hours later to see if i could change it to a weekend a month later. I had suspected I might lose the deposit, but I was blown away by how rude they were when telling me! Unbelievable and totally unwarranted. Given the same... More

We camped here over the Easter weekend a family of four with two young children. A great campsite with good clean facilities. A bit of a hike from Liverpool but our son I particular loved the steam train! Also has a great children's play area which is easily viewable from pitches.

I have been camping all of my life in many different countries all around the world. Last summer I had the opportunity to be a warden with my husband for 3 month from July 2014 at Fisherground campsite. I had a great summer, one I'll never forget - with what I will always refer to as my English family -... More
