We stayed here earlier in the summer for 7 days. The site looks amazing. Its really scenic and handy for the train. However it is lacking in some basics. There is no shop, not even a collection of essentials that you might need if you arrive after the local village shop has closed. the local shop is a couple of... More

We had a very wet weekend here but it didn't stop our enjoyment. The place is well equipped the toilet facilities are good but could become crowded at busy times. The small lake is ideal for adventurous children and the campfire circles great for adults on a night. Well situated an ideal site for those who don't want groups of... More

Very busy campsite with good facilities and a good play area for the children which included a small lake area not too deep. When we arrived we were directed to our pitch and told which way to put our tents for a busy site this was the best option. A miniature train runs along the rear of the site with... More

They say it all and do bring back a chuckle, now that I am not there. This place will suit you if the thought of free and simple camping terrifies you. It will be the place for you if the thought of camping with space around you to swing a cat is far too much room. It will be the... More

We stayed in our camper van with our daughter, lovely friendly staff, plenty of things for them to do with the pond (nets from reception If you ask) zip wire and play area and also their own stop to get onto the ratty train service. There is a pub 5 mins walk down the road if you want to go... More

Sadly only stayed for one night, however really clean and looked after site. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great for kids to run around and make new friends. Fires also allowed to toast marshmallows etc and sit around in the evening. Shower block, very clean and lots of dryers and washing machine, even a boot drying cupboard.

We stayed Thursday -Monday for the bank holiday weekend with friends, 9 of us in total; we've never camped before, so I have nothing to compare it too but we wasn't disappointed! The facilities were fantastic, prices very competitive, beautiful scenery and the kids loved the park and pond. Would definitely return and recommend but I'll try a few other... More

Fisherground has lots going for it. Large pitches, staff help you organise where you can pitch and we're very helpful with finding your pitch. Every one has a fire pit and the man drives round each evening selling wood, kindling, firelighters and marshmallows. There is an ice cream van which comes round and a great pond and play areas. We... More

This is a great campsite. Will do the more negative points first to get them out of the way as I will return and had the most amazing time. No recycling which is a real shame. Could do with a few more litter bins dotted around. Only four showers for the whole site with queues in the morning and evening.... More

Recently returned from staying at this campsite for over a week, the views and location of this campsite are lovely. The rules of the campsite are clearly stated on the website and i actually enjoyed the quiet after 10:30 at night. This rule just made for a better night sleep all round. The staff at the site were helpful and... More
