Oh where to start!! The location is second to none! So perfectly remote and rural. Between mine and my sister's family, we had the apartment and cabin for a 2 week holiday. The accommodation was wonderful and comfortable. The owner and staff at the Inn were amazingly helpful and really made us feel at home, in particular, the lovely Sharon... More

Two nights in a quiet smallish double room above the bar. Bath with shower - lots of hot water. Comfortable bed. Multi channel TV, etc. Free Wi-Fi. Comprehensive menu in the traditional bar. Enormous portions at very reasonable prices. Big full English breakfast, good toast and coffee. Friendly staff. A variety of excellent, hand pumped ales as well as the... More

Hubby and I stayed here for three nights during their beer festival and had a wonderful time. First night they had a tribute band to Deep Purple which was great but finished way too early (10.30pm). The food was English at its best huge servings and pipping hot and fresh. Staff were wonderful and very attentative always returning within a... More

Nice location, good facilities and plenty outside seating mean this could be a good family pub but ........... the 2 nights we went too many things went wrong to recommend it! The beer fridge was not working so all bottles were lukewarm, bar had no 50p pieces so could not play pool, nearly smashed the window with the pool cue... More

Just found this Inn after a long, hot days walking and thought we would stop for something to eat. It was a great decision. The staff were really friendly and the food was exceptional for the price. I would recommend the Hunter's Chicken -it was delicious and my husband's fishcakes were equally as good. A really smashing place. Karen &... More

Great for a few pints whilst camping locally. Great selection of guest beers and the giant tepee at the back kept the sun off. Bar staff really friendly and great with the little one. Would recommend anyone near by pop in.

We went in for a meal, the outset and location of the pub looked nice, however that was where it ended. I ordered surf and turf, expecting maybe a nice king prawn skewer with the steak, when the food arrived I was shocked to see cold prawns on my plate (looked like cheap frozen prawns), with frozen veg and the... The pub is situated in an excellent location with plenty of parking. There is outside area for food and drink as well as a lot of space inside. The Bar staff was very friendly and the chef personally came out to explain what options we had for vegetarians. Good options for drink including different flavoured vodka. A large selection of... Lovely location and fantastic proximity to the Fisherground Campsite (5 min walk) with a great outside area to enjoy food and drinks (including a massive te-pee canopy). The choice of ales is great and (as we ventured there several times including at 11pm to watch the England game) the “opening times” seem quite relaxed. Big portions of food with a... More
