Booked here last minute as we were doing a walk up in the lakes that day. We wanted to stay somewhere a bit different and found this B&B, we asked for any available room or the Gypsy Caravan; which we got and it was AMAZING. Very unique stay, cosy warm with everything you need. Facilities - Tea, coffee, shower, toilet,... More

We stayed in the romany caravan for 2 nights because we like quirky accommodation and wanted to explore the lake district. Tina already had the log burner going for our arrival so it was very cosy and romantic. The caravan is tight on space for manoeuvring around umpacking but it's got a surprising amount of storage. The bed was very... More

I stayed at the Blue House's Garden Room for a couple of nights. The room was lovely, the bed one of the best I've ever slept in and the crackling woodburner made me want to stay in all day. Tina was a fantastic host - very generous and even catering to a gluten-free diet. There are 3 extremely affectionate dogs... More

We stayed in the romany style caravan in the garden of the B&B. One of the reasons for choosing this was because of it allowed pets. We brought Boris the Boxer dog who, like us, had a fabulous time! The caravan is cosy and unique with a log burner and plenty of wood, coal, candles and much needed fire lighters... More

We stayed at The Blue House for 2 nights in January which was utterly charming. Tina gave us a fabulous welcome with a home made birthday cake for one of our party which was such a lovely surprise, and delicious! Both rooms are well appointed and have everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was great with... More

Thank you Tina for a great stay. We had two nights at The Blue House B&B in early December and it is exactly as described. A peaceful setting but close to a range of amenities. Great stay, beautiful décor, great hospitality - perfect weekend away, didn't want to leave!

Stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely bedroom and bathroom with delicious treat of homemade flapjack supplied with the tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was taken next morning in the main house and this too was excellent. Tina was a wonderful host. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

We spent this weekend in the delightful gypsy caravan which was a really great experience. Tina welcomed us warmly with all the info that we needed. We had a warm and very comfortable night and enjoyed a delicious breakfast with yummy home-made bread the next morning ! We will be booking our next short break with Tina very soon and... More

Easily found thanks to fab directions from the owners. Met on the driveway by THE cutest puppy plus mum and gran (puppy's mum and gran that is!). Very friendly black labs. Had a nice welcome from Tina and shown to our lovely room upstairs. Bathroom is not quite in the room but not a problem as totally private upstairs so... More

Many thanks for your lovely review and I'm delighted that you enjoyed your brief stay at The Blue House. You have got me intrigued by Geocaching - what a fascinating concept and brilliant way to discover different places. I have just parcelled up a couple of small items left in the room and will get them in the post ASAP.... More

Partner and myself stayed in the Romany caravan for a night - cosy and warm (I guess if you lit the fire you could turn it into a sauna !). Welcomed with tea (and the famous flapjack) and spent the evening cooking our own meal by the fire pit nearby, watching the sun go down. Breakfast next day in the... More

Many thanks for your lovely, quirky review. Great to hear that you made the most of your stay in Romany Rose Gypsy Caravan - you'll have to come back when the snow in on the ground to enjoy the wood burning stove at its best! But with the fab summer and autumn the fire pit area has enjoyed some stunning... More
