Had roman platter for 2 to start, arrived with 3 knives/forks and 3 servings? Tasted nice, nothing special, little confused collection of bits. Pizzas, however, cor. Excellent! Lovely crispy base, maybe slightly too much cheese on the Toscana, the Eduardos was very light, full marks to the chef! Will definitely return to try other pizzas. Cowmire cider was excellent too!... The Woolpack catered for my son's wedding. The food was fabulous (the fish cooked to perfection, not easy for a large number), the welcome wonderful, the staff really entered into the occasion. We were able to decorate the room with their help, and they were enthusiastic as they served efficiently. It was very special. Thank you. This Inn is in... More

We recently stayed at The Woolpack as guests for our friends wedding. What a wonderful stay we had! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they couldn't do enough for us throughout our stay. Our room was comfortable and inkeeping with the building's character. The food we sampled whilst there (breakfast, wedding breakfast and evening meals) was superb; local produce... More

wonderfully relaxing stay at the Woolpack Inn. Great surroundings, welcoming bar and wood burner, dinner watching Rugby Beague and most importantly fab gluten free food without pre-ordering anything. Loved the full English Brekkie, gluten free bread and sausages! and a friendly welcome from 'Wooly' .......doesn't get any better! Thank you so much

The location is great at the bottom of Honister Pass. One part of the bar has been renovated and is very stylish. The remainder is yet to be completed. We could hear what was happening in the next room and he woke us at 6 am. The bathroom door needs fixing. We are told the room will be upgraded this... More

I left my jacket at the Woolpack and was told that they would post it back to me after taking my card details to pay for the service. I waited well over a week and nothing turned up. After several attempts I eventually discovered that the jacket was not going to be posted and that I'd have to post a... More

Had a meal on Saturday night it was quite busy. Had a long wait for food. Two of us had soup as a starter which was like dish water. Then the main course wasn't much better, overall I think this pub is overpriced for the standard of food or serves. We won't be going back.

Really poor in many ways. Shabby tired feel to the place- loos smelt dreadfull. And that is before we checked into our room - really basic in many ways and so many cobwebs. Not clean at all- mold in bathroom and door would not shut. Beer was fine what we tried but did not eat due to cleanliness. For £90... More

We stayed here for one night. The cost was £45 per person bed and breakfast and we booked a double room. The room was really tiny and very poorly furnished. The decor was dreadful with a whole wall of atrocious pine cladding. There was a huge hole in the wall where the door handle repeatedly banged into it. The bathroom... More

At the end of the spectacularly beautiful and slightly scary hard Knott pass lies an inn and cafe of great interest. The food is delicious and the choice of beers is great. Their own gins etc are a delight. Can't wait to go back and stay for a couple of nights!! The resident dog "woolly" is a joy. Loves anyone... More
