Staying at the local campsite, we stopped into the Boot Inn on a very warm sunny day after spending the morning on the close by mini steam railway, and walking around. A cold drink was much needed. We have 2 kids, so we chose to sit outside in the beer garden. It was huge. Plenty of seating and a large... More

We recently spent 3 nights at the boot inn and can not recommend it highly enough. Staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly and could not do enough for you. We had a family room that was comfortable and as others have commented the bathrooms could do with a little updating and as I understand this will be happening in... More

Stayed at this Inn overnight as part of a C2C Team and cannot speak highly enough of this Inn. From the moment we arrived, you get that relaxed feeling as the staff make you feel so welcomed (Thank you) For those into real ale there is a treat in store, when coupled with the higher than expected quality of menu... We have been visiting the Boot Inn, on and off since the late 1990’s. With it’s superb and tranquil location it has always been a fantastic location for a walking holiday. We have known it as the Burnmoor Inn and then Jennings brewery, and latterly Robinsons brewery took it over. Unfortunately since this time the Inn has been in a... More

Hi, I am not going to respond to every point you have made but would like to point out a few key ones. July is a busy time of year and the bar does get busy with holiday makers having a good time, we do play background music at a reasonable level to contribute to the overall atmosphere. When you... The Boot Inn is in a beautiful location in a tiny, pretty hamlet. (Just yards away there is a fascinating pre industrial mill that's rather special & well worth a visit.) The inn has a characterful, traditional bar, attractive outdoor beer gardens that are well maintained & a pleasure to sit in & a good sized car park. The rooms... More

I review this pub a couple of times a year when we visit and although it is in a great location and has great food/drink I've had my moans. Now I think there must be new owners. All my gripes are resolved! The food is lovely (think even better). The kids meals are now £4.95 (they were much more expensive... More

I stayed here for just one night and can't speak highly enough of the staff, the food or the accommodation. Firstly I arrived early on the Saturday morning and they were happy enough to let me grab a coffee while I waited for the worst of the rain to clear. Then after a long day on the fells, I returned...
