We stayed here to see family in the area and absolutely loved this hotel! Upon arrival the staff were very kind and helpful and showed us to our room which was very clean and cosy. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was brilliant, large choice of meals and the food tasted fresh. The next morning we had breakfast... More

We stopped off at this hotel on our way to Scotland. It was a nice hotel, friendly staff, rooms were a good size though the mattress in my room was very hard and uncomfortable. The food was very good and plenty of it. This is a good hotel for stopping off at on the way to other places. easy to... More

Stayed here for 1 night last weekend. Quirky place that could benefit greatly from a facelift inside and out. Having said that, our room was immaculately clean, well maintained and spacious. We had a very restful nights sleep, only disturbed the next morning by the noise of someones children running up and down the corridor squealing at full volume -... More

A standard hotel , the family room needed refurbishment, squeaking bed, worn out mattresses, Annette was lovely throughout our stay, very considerate and hospitable , average breakfast with poor quality sausages.

Fantastic B&B hotel manager/owner great can't remember her name but she was lovely. The days we stayed there were before they head a big wedding to cater for. Our stay was made even more pleasant because of the lovely service we received. Room was spot less, had everything you needed truly remarkable stay. Thank you

Undoubtedly the best meal we've encountered for ages. Monday July 20th 2015. 2 sirloin steaks for £18. Cooked to perfection with proper home made chips. Home made mince and potatoe pie with gravy. Cumberland sausage and lasagne. All piping hot, in a relaxed atmosphere with good beer and nice wine. Reasonably priced and didn't go home hungry or with a... More

Had a fantastic meal at the Grove today. Lunch visit with my friends and as a slimming world member it can be difficult to find places to eat and stay on plan. This is not a problem at the Grove. Their diverse menu also includes a 'slimmers menu' with a great variety of choices. Great food, wonderful staff, great prices... More
