Found the hotel at the last minute and what a lovely surprise. The front of house staff particularly Emma are an asset to this lovely place. The hotel has lots of character and the bedroom with its four poster bed was warm, clean and extremely comfortable. It may need the odd touch to bring it up to excellent but we... More

I came upon this hotel on the internet as myself and husband were travelling back from Wales and needed a place to stop off at. It was the best decision I have made for a while. The hotel is in a lovely spot, the scenery is spectacular and its "in the middle of nowhere" As you walk in the staff... More

Having spent a week in Scotland, needed to overnight on our way back to the Fens. What a choice! Warm welcome, great location, four-poster bed, good food at sensible prices and vreat service. If we lived closer, would be regular visitors.

We stayed at Nent Hall for 3 nights as part of an anniversary break and had a most enjoyable, relaxing break. The hotel does have an air of faded splendour and needs some TLC but the rooms are adequate and spotless, the staff welcoming and friendly and the food was very good. At first, we thought it was the coldest... More

Stopped here during the C2C challenge. The hotel is dated but the staff are very welcoming. The bedrooms are adequate and the beds comfortable. I haven't seen as small a TV for many years ! Dinner and breakfast were very good, if a bit slow. Worth a stop over

We arrived late - rolled in well after dark - 9pm - after Garrigill - anyone who's done the coast to coast will tell you Hartside (the supposed killer) is a walk in the park compared with Garrigill. Without lights (don't ask) we rolled down the hill from Nanthead and finally had a signal and spoke to Proprietor Andrew who... More

We visited here a couple of weeks ago. We were placed in the annex part of the hotel. We were shown to our room and left to our own devices. The room itself was full of damp and quite frankly stunk! We complained at the front desk and we were advised they were aware of the problem and gave us... More

We enjoyed our stay here, despite various aspects that could be improved. The hotel building is lovely though the bedroom we stayed in is badly in need of decoration and modernisation. It was small and had a depressing view of a back yard much in need of improvement. Wi-fi was very temperamental to the point of being non-existent in the... More

Returning for the 3rd time this year, we took our two grand-daughters with us this time and stayed in one of the 4-bed family rooms. Cannot fault the hotel and staff, although Wi-Fi signal was only really good in the main lounge (or so our 14yr old grand-daughter said). The room was as good as we'd come to expect, even... More

14 of us ate here during a C2C ride. Dinner was very good and reasonable value. The staff were very helpful and attentive. We were staying in a bunk house up the road and had run out of milk. Not only were the staff very helpful selling us milk from their kitchen at cost but they let the kids grab... More
