The place is beautiful and was my favorite of all places I stayed. I was soloing the Coast to Coast bicycle route. Laura and Richard were the best! They are very "green" and use only local goods. Booked in for two nights and found the hotel to be very welcoming. Rooms were average size with everything you could need, but obviously compromised in places by it being a very old building. A very nice place to stay. The hotel had a small but adequate car park outside the main entrance door. The reception was excellent and the booking in perfect. If you have read some of the previous reviews praising this hotel then believe them. This is an excellent place to stay with good clean comfortable rooms, a lovely small bar with a good selection of bottled real ales and a hearty breakfast. The staff are super friendly too Highly recommended more
