We stayed here for 2 nights on a kgb deal and were absolutely delighted with the hotel which is situated in the country, but only about ten minutes by car from one of Chester's Park and Rides. It is a beautiful, old,Tudor style building, and the inside didn't disappoint either. We were met at reception by a lovely lady who... More

We stayed for three nights, dinner, bed and breakfast for a reunion at the hotel with old friends from 20th to 23rd October. We were absolutely delighted with the place. the food was excellent in every way as was the service, always with a smile and often a friendly chat. Our room was very comfortable, (room 36) , having a... More

Having read previous reviews, we arrived here wondering what it would be like. We had a lovely room on the ground floor that was really nice. The staff were so pleasant and helpful. The food was divine. I am sure we shall return soon. I loved the two night stay at this quirky looking hotel.

Stayed here for one night with a Travelzoo deal. The hotel is situated in the countryside and it is a drive to get to anything else, so go prepared to hole up for the night. The receptionist was very warm and friendly and check in was fast and efficient. Our room was a family room with a double and a... More

The hotel is simply stunning. The welcome at reception was warm and friendly. Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean, well decorated and quiet. We couldn't fault the staff, every one was so friendly without being intrusive. The chef did so much to accommodate our dietary requirements, so, unlike other hotel stays, we opted to eat in every evening, and were... More

The staff at this hotel were lovely, very helpful and sweet. The rooms were dirty, the restaurant was run down and food was average. We spilled some crumbs on the carpet in the evening, after they cleaned our room the next morning, the crumbs were still on the floor. So they definitely did not hoover. The bathroom had mold in... The bed also had no matress protector !!.I did mention this to the receptionist and wrote a letter to the proprietor with our feedback to our stay but have had no reply. The bathroom was modern but... My wife and I got this off living social, two night stay with breakfast. The hotel is set in the Cheshire country side, very quiet and relaxing. The hotel is in the style of Tudor, it is mock, but very realistic. We stayed in room 35 which is at the back of the hotel and looks out over fields, very... More

We picked up a great deal to stay here for 2 nights. Bedroom was a good size with bathroom including a shower over the bath. Lounge and dining areas were very comfortable and tastefully decorated. We dined here on both evenings and breakfasts and the food was just ok. Staff were friendly. A trip to Chester Zoo is a must... More
