We stayed overnight here with many members of our family and friends after attending our daughters wedding reception, which was held here. I have to say from the outset, that the wedding reception was absolutely perfect. Superb setting, attentive staff, excellent food, the marquee was beautifully decorated and laid out, and every member of the staff for the whole of... more

Booked on late rooms paid 109. for a junior suite. Thought we would get a four poster bed but were disappointed it wasnt. The room was a large suite with a kingsize bed, which later turned out to be the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on and my husband decided the settee would be better!!! Room 24 is... more

The upgrade to a suite is definitely worth it. Fantastic room with four poster bed. Huge bathroom which is crying out for a corner bath instead of the cheap bog standard option of a normal bathroom suite - this is my only gripe. Why refurb the room and skimp on the bathroom?? Staff were very friendly and helpful. The "Dine... more

A group of 10 of us stayed over 2 nights enabling us to spend 3 days walking the Sandstone Way. Rooms were all very comfortable and the food in the restaurant was very good, both breakfasts and evening meals. The only problem experienced was the complete lack of service in the bar area. Not that I found it acceptable but... more

We stayed here for a night to break up a long journey, and were very happy. Check-in was quick and efficient, the welcome warm. We had booked a suite and it was very clean, spacious and tidy. It had not yet been refurbished, and there were a couple of bits that looked a bit tired, but the level of cleanliness was... more

After finding this hotel through lastminute.com I phoned them directly to make a booking. We were staying for just the one night and then travelling on to Chester Zoo the following day. It was an absolutely excellent stay. The staff were very friendly, the location was brill and the cleanliness was faultless. Having a 4 year old and a baby... more
