My wife and I had the pleasure of getting married at The Swan in Tarporley on the 23rd Oct 2014. You won't find a venue anywhere in Cheshire with such a fascinating history. The town itself is very picturesque and the village shops/pubs and buildings have been carefully preserved, in keeping with the character and history of the area. On... More

Last week we went to this hotel for a two day break, it was easy to find being on the main road through Tarporley and had ample parking at the rear, we had a room at the rear overlooking the car park. It was a lovely room with all the amenities we required, After having a walk around Tarporley centre... More

A lovely Olde Coaching Inn with log fires. Friendly service but the best part was the amazing food! Absolutely delicious! The plate was piled high! There is a good choice with interesting specials. We had the roast beef and pork dinner. The chefs special of a bonfire night themed pannacotta was a delight with a topping which fizzed in the... More

We found this hotel by chance and glad we did, excellent food and choice. Very well presented by friendly waiting staff. Lovely decor and seating areas. 5 stars would visit again ! Prices are not cheap but you pay for the quality of the food.

The Swan is one of my favourite places, which I have been to several times. However on my recent visit I found it a real shame that there was one member of staff who seemed to have a bad attitude throughout the night. A female blonde manager who was talking to other members of staff in a very derogatory and... More

What a beautiful village this hotel is in, well worth a look around if you have a chance. Hotel itself is very pleasant. Lovely and clean room, we were upgraded to a four poster room, which was a welcome gesture. Breakfast both days was very nice, cooked to order and there was plenty choice. Beautiful building, which has kept a... More

Four of us ate here last Saturday evening and had a very pleasant evening. The food was tasty, I had whitebait followed by glazed pork and would not hesitate in having these again or trying another dish. The service was excellent, we were not kept waiting for our food, and the total bill was just over £100 for 3 courses... More

Needing a comfortable overnight pitstop on the way up to North Cumbria from Somerset, I came across this lovely old coaching inn somehow on the Internet. It turned out to be a gem and we will return. Big comfortable family room with lovely supper in cosy dining room. Excellent breakfast the next morning with all the papers and we were... More

We regularly stay at this lovely hotel. Accommodation is comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Food great and ambience buzzy. Sunday lunch with friends was delicious and certainly filling and wholesome!
