Hadn't booked beforehand. Just wanted to check it out first and see the room prior as sometimes the internet photos aren't quite accurate. Idyllically hidden in the countryside. Greeted warmly by Natalie & David. Shown to room number 1 and fell in love with Willington Hall. Somehow we managed to be allocated possibly the best room in the house. With... More

3 of us had lunch here and we all chose different starters and mains so that we could try everything. Out of the 6 dishes we all felt that 4/6 were tasteless and overcooked and the other 2, the goats cheese and rabbit starter, were ok. Such a shame that the food doesn't quite do it as the venue is... My partner and I stayed here on Friday night and fell in love with the place. The hotel looks lovely as you travel up the drive and has a big fountain at the front. We were in Room 2 which was absolutely massive and had stunning views over the gardens and countryside. The bed was huge and so comfy! Gorgeous... More

We attended a Round Table AGM on Friday-A great night with a rustic yet contemporary menu-pressed rabbit was delicious and the Hake for main course was very tasty and filling-I can recommend the sticky toffee pudding as one of the best I have tasted! Make a booking you won't be disappointed!

Having never been here before we looked at other on line reviews as we wanted somewhere a little special to dine as a birthday treat. We were impressed as we drove up towards the hall, the setting was perfect. However on entering we were left floundering wondering which way to turn as the receptionist was on the phone and we... My wife and I went to this beautiful location for evening meal. We plumped for a bar meal as the menu seemed very tasty. When the food arrived in was frozen in the middle. We asked was the food checked with a thermometer , and was told yes. We then asked was the food freshly prepared and cooked or warmed... More

We stayed as a couple at the hotel overnight last week. Beautiful setting and the room with a view to die for (Room 1). Very comfy bed as per other reviews. Very relaxed and welcoming approach. It has a real feel of old stately home grandeur. Bedrooms in hotels are usually functional but this was a tad different with a... More

Had an excellent stay at this hotel. The room was great with incredible views. The bed one of the most comfortable I've slept in. Food wise, we experienced the bar menu, restaurant and breakfast. Couldn't fault anything, except portion size maybe too big! A great location. We will be back.

My husband and I went for a Valentine's Dinner last night - we had our wedding reception at Willington 15 years ago in a big marquee at the back of the hotel overlooking the lovely grounds and Cheshire countryside - so my husband had booked it as a surprise - the other surprise was he hadn't managed to sort a...
