Having just taken over at The Crown in the middle of December 2015 this kind of mixed feedback is exactly what we want to address in our future plans for the Crown. These honest views are much appreciated and we hope that the changes that we have made to both the pub and the letting accommodation will improve the customer... More

Bought a voucher for an off on the 3 course Sunday roast. At the last minute our son decided to come along so we paid full price for his 3 courses. There was no atmosphere (we were the only ones eating) the dining room and various looked a bit scruffy ( there was a large paper towel on the beer... More

Sounds like a terrible experience and hopefully no longer a possibility with our new Managers Marcus & Heather. The pub already looks better and it doesn't sound like the atmosphere could have got any worse! A great pint of Guinness in a fine if un-fussy village pub. There is a small beer-yard at the rear which is great on a sunny day and they have a few simple guest rooms. The food is good and they do a mean pizza. I'd go again just for the Guinness. Enjoy.

What can I say apart from its a Dirty Place, I booked a room at short notice, no realising short notice meant the room would not be cleaned. I arrived very tired, the Staff were nice, I was shown up to my room and left. I quickly fell asleep, only after finding no Wifi was available in my room, but... More

The Crown is not posh, so if that's your demand.... The greatness of this place is its management, staff, food and overall customer service. Penny and I absolutely loved the experience. I've never seen a B&B breakfast with such quality and variety. The restaurant and the Italian food were superb--staff are all from Tuscany or thereabouts. The place was packed... More

One night B+B, 5 Rooms Booked for our Annual Return to Tarporley for The Beer Festival. No real change in the accommodation, no problems encountered. Staff very friendly, good service, and a good Full English breakfast. No real ale sold, but for us, not a problem. We shall return.

visited this italian restaurant this lunch time and it was very quiet with only two other tables being occupied. The waitress was acceptional and a real asset to this business however was let down by such slow service from the chef, my father and i ordered only chicken in tomatoes and herbs and a lasagne and it took nearly an... Spent a night here before my son's wedding in the high street. Bed & Breakfast good value for money. Had an Italian meal for ten the night before which was fantastic. Staff couldn't do enough for us and all our family including a late check out on Saturday before the wedding. Definitely use them again.

We stopped here for one night as we were attending a wedding the next day. The hotel is VERY basic and needs a complete overhaul but it was clean and comfortable. The restaurant however is absolutely fantastic. The ambiance, the food and the staff could not be faulted. we would stay here again? Yes, if only for the food!!
