Avoid unless you are desperate. Friendly staff but building and room can only be described as grim. The type of place that you will find in a creepy horror movie. Travelodges can be hit and miss but this has been under the target and stuck in the ground. The little chef next door didn't help either. Really friendly staff though.

If its £19 and you cant get in the other TLs in the area for a decent price I would chance it. As previous reviewers have said its not clean and very noisy. I would even question the security as some of the doors are dodgy The exit to the A556 is extremely busy and pretty dicey if you are... More

We stayed here on our way to the Lake District. Never again. The staff were lovely and really helpful but the room was horrible. Holes in the walls had been filled with putty which hadn't been sanded down or painted, I'm not sure the last time the carpet had seen a vacuum. The bathroom floor had hair and other debris... More

Its not a good sign when u arrive and you are greet by a member of staff who is wearing a t-shirt covered in dirty marks. I was so glad we only stayed one night. The rooms were unclean and dirty. The bathroom has would have been great over 20 years ago. The shower water even smelt. We though we... More

Stayed here whilst attending a concert at Tatton Park. With the exception of Anthony who checked us in, tried to secure us a taxi and was extremely helpful, I found the whole place a bit of a let town. We literally checked in, dropped the bags and went back out again, and so did not notice that the bathroom and toilet... More

Despite its location, not easily spotted from the fast dual carriageway that runs past it. You have been warned. Anyway to the hotel itself, firstly IT WAS CHEAP. Decent sized room, not unclean but very tired decor. Grouting in bathroom heavily discoloured, doors scuffed and gouged from wear and tear.TV reception crap. Limited, but that was expected, facilities. Receptiion staff... More

You know what you will get when you open the door but it is 40 seconds from the M6 and next door to a filling station and Little Chef. It may not look pretty but this is the best place to stay if you need to get around Cheshire. Plenty of parking too.

Stayed here for my company's annual party alongside 30 of my staff. Told the Travelodge in advance why we were coming and that it would be a big/late night for us all. On arrival, they had put us at the far end of the building, away from any of the other residents. Thankfully there were no complaints, and the staff... More

Yes, the place smelt of old Travelodge...not unbearable, just old. Perfectly acceptable for the price and served the purpose. The staff were friendly and the Little Chef next door was good for breakfast, although closing at 9pm was a bit of a bind, there is very little in the way of take aways in Knutsford, and Northwich was closed on... Arrived for a one night stay on way back home from Alton towers. Having stayed in a nice travelodge the previous night in Newcastle under Lyme this travelodge typifies what is wrong with the travelodge brand! Arrived to a friendly welcome from the receptionist on the desk. Went to room and the first thing that hit us was the smell!... More
