Stayed here for a night due to attending a wedding in the area. I booked at a discounted rate and for what I paid I wasn't expecting much. It was surprisingly nice. Located close to the motorway. The hotel interior is in need of a little tlc, but my room was clean and spacious. The staff on reception were very... More

We stayed here so we could visit gardens in the area like biddulph grange. The location was good. The hotel has friendly helpful staff who go out of their way to see to your requests. We had booked through booking.com for a executive room with twin beds. When we got to the room it was just a double bed. The... More

This was a smashing hotel friendly staff wonderful food and service. Nothing too much trouble. Spacious clean rooms and white towels changed daily. Even though we were a coach party, we had a choice of food and sat where we wanted and were not treated like a school outing. Lovely team of staff second to none. Thank you, especially Emily... More

We recently attended a function at the hotel and what a great time my husband and I had. The location was perfect with plenty of car parking spaces. The receptionist was most helpful and even arranged a drink for us after a long journey. Food was very nice, with good portions and piping hot. The bedroom was a good size... More

Dear Dutchcloggsred thanks so much for your praise - it's rewarding to know we are getting it right more often than not. We're working hard at the hotel to make sure customers get great service. We've invested in good people and give them training, so it's really pleasing to know it's paying off with happy customers! Best regards, Steve Guttridge More

We recently held my mums birthday party here and it wasn't great. We had event decorators in from 2pm as we were told that's when we could have the room from but on the day they changed their minds and said it was from 7pm, the party started at 7.30pm. Rooms were shabby, all needs completely decorating. It use to... More

Dear Caledg I was sorry to read your comments on Tripadvisor after your Mums' birthday party, and a little surprised, because the feedback I was given from the Operational team at the hotel was that the event room looked sensational and you were all delighted with the success of the event! If there was confusion about the timings of exclusivity... More

We have spent the weekend in your hotel attending our son's wedding. We all had an amazing weekend. Everything went like clockwork. We had arranged a pre-wedding dinner on Friday which was very good. The food was excellent as was the service. Nothing was left to chance. On Saturday the hotel were brilliant. Everything my Son and his Fiancé had... More

Dear manumanGuelph, I was sorry to hear that you were disappointed following your recent stay at the hotel. We're aware that the hotel needs some investment, and we expect to see news on that shortly. However, we have worked hard to make sure that our people offer a friendly welcome and good service.
