Booked this overnight stay via Secret Escapes on a bed and breakfast basis. We opted for a Junior suite, which was enormous with a 4 poster bed. It is set in beautiful grounds with a lake running almost around the property. The evening meal (not included in price) was simply fabulous, served in a stunning room. Staff very attentive and... This hotel is very nice and the rooms excellent. The welcome from the porter was such a nice touch, so a special thanks to him. We stayed over night and attended the dine and dance evening, the food was top notch and the entertainment was very good indeed. Now to the let down, the drinks prices and this really did... More

It is a lovely hotel in every way, very comfortable and clean with really big bedrooms that had everything you would want. The staff were all very friendly and helpful especially Melvyn who went out of his way to do that bit extra for us. The restaurant food is superb, my husband said his steak was the best he had... A very comfortable & beautifully located hotel with excellent food. Attentive, helpful & friendly staff with a special mention for Melvyn, the bowler-hatted gentleman who greets you on arrival - first impressions count !

We stayed here for one night and could not fault the hotel. A little quirky but that fitted so well with the overall hotel. The rooms are really big and very clean. Whilst the rooms are in keeping with the style of hotel from a décor/furniture perspective, do not be put off. All the modern day facilities you expect in... More

Lovely country hotel, quaint, large and quiet room (top floor). Pleasant enough service (although we had to find someone to serve at the bar in the evening and restaurant manger was bit "off"). My steak was just "not very good quality meat" and others in our group also felt the food could have been a lot better, especially as there... More

We stayed for one night at this beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived the service was first class. We were greeted in the car park by a friendly and eloquent gentleman who took our bag escorted us to reception and then to our room. He helpfully gave us all the information and then offered to provide us with a... More

My new wife and I stayed at nunsmere hall hotel for a two night mini moon. We booked into the gardenia suite which was very nice, but not perfect. Firstly some of the wall paper was bubbling ans hanging off the walls and our bed was a little to firm for my liking ( but that's just a personal preference)... More

The hotel hosted our wedding on 1 November. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better weekend - the setting, food and service were all brilliant, we were unbelievably well looked after. Special thanks have to go to Melvyn for such a warm welcome on arrival and to Kurt and Keeley for all their hard work on the day as... More

We recently spent two nights at the hotel having read previous Trip Advisor reports and we certainly weren't disappointed. The location is down a long countryside driveway with views of the lake surrounding the hotel, very picturesque. Our arrival at the hotel couldn't have been more welcoming with both Gemma and Melvyn speaking to us we were regular visitors. We... More
