This is a vey good hotel set in immaculate grounds. We booked a junior suite which was spacious, well furnished and had all the facilities you would expect from a hotel classed in the 'luxury' category. Our bed was huge and as a consequence sleep quality was excellent. The food served is of a high standard. We enjoyed our dinner... More

We stayed one night here, absolutely lovely. Our stay here was so special, our room was gorgeous, food was wonderful, staff were superb. We even enjoyed a walk around the grounds the following morning, was given complimentary boots to wear as it had been snowing! We shall definitely be returning here.

We stayed at Nunsmere as a suprise night away for my partners birthday. What a deal! Got a junior suite - massive with views over the garden, super kingsize bed, which was really comfortable and we got fresh milk ( our choice was skimmed) sent up to our room instead of the usual horrible uht stuff. Nothing was too much... More

Just returned after a night away with friends, this is a wonderful setting for either a special night away for two, an evening with friends or a special occasion like a wedding. The menu is top class and food is presented beautifully. The service is personal, welcoming and, without exception, friendly whilst efficient and professional. This won't be our last... More

Sadly I saw more of the setting on the hotel's website than I did during my stay; arrived in the dark and left in the dark, meetings all day! Would have loved to explore the grounds ;-( A refreshing change from the usual boring stale corporate hotels we normally visit for our meetings. Nothing seemed a problem and all the... More

Dear Buzzybee61 Thank you for taking the time to post here on trip advisor. It is such a shame that you were unable to experience our beautiful grounds on this occasion and I hope you will be able to on your next visit. I am sorry that the Wifi was not working in your bedroom to which I have investigated... More

On arrival at Nunsmere Hall we knew what to expect, we had stayed previously - in March 2013 - and been impressed by the whole experience. Unfortunately this was not to be the case this time around… We were greeted in the usual manner by the hotel’s cordial and helpful concierge, who, after we had checked-in, carried our bags up... We booked a last minute one night stay with breakfast and dinner, on the hotel website. We used to do short hotel stays regularly, but became disillusioned with the corporate decor and regimented systems - not so at Nunsmere. From booking through to departure, each member of staff was excellent in the warm way they exercised professionalism; they seemed genuinely... More

We went for a two night break. My husband is disabled and in a wheelchair, so we booked a ground floor room. When we arrived, the receptionist immediately arranged for a ramp to get us up the steps and it remained there for our stay. Our room was warm, spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was huge and very comfortable.... More

Dear MargaretM Thank you for your kind words. It is great to read that you enjoyed your stay with us. Our grounds really are beautiful and we are very lucky that the local wild life also like living here. I have noted your comments regarding Wheel Chair friendly paths through the garden and I will see what can be done... More

Just back from a one night 'deal' and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. The reception and bar staff were really friendly and the door man Melvyn just couldn't do enough for us and after a lovely personal greeting (which I haven't experienced at a hotel in a long time) he explained the who what where and when about the local area...
