We last visited Nunsmere Hall for lunch 4 years ago and we decided to treat my wife's brother and his wife to a Dinner Bed and Breakfast break for his 60th birthday this time. The hotel is a grand old building with lovely furniture and excellent bedrooms. Staff are very friendly and our meal was absolutely superb. The only slight... More

Returned to Nunsmere Hall. Was a little concerned to hear the Prima group had sold this hotel at Xmas but should not have bothered as everything was brilliant. The place was full, a great atmosphere. Staff friendly and attentive. We stayed in 'Orchid' a huge suite which was just lovely. Can't wait to return.

I booked this for my husbands 60th birthday for 8 of us, we had 4 rooms all of which were different styles. We were greeted at the door by a lovely gentleman in a bowler hat (we never found out his name, buy nicknamed him "odd job") he helped with our bags and took us to our rooms. Every member... More

We went here after booking a deal through travel zoo.. Beautiful settling, beautiful hotel, had cream tea which was delicious and had the steak baguette which was divine.. Gorgeous huge room, peaceful sleep and comfy bed, delicious full English breakfast the following day. The bloke on reception couldn't be more helpful or pleasant. Excellent stay.. We will be back!!

We spent two nights here and from the initial welcome (from the gentleman in the bowler hat) to our leaving we had an excellent time. We were in the "Begonia" room which was large and comfortable overlooking the gardens. The restaurant was really good, everything we ordered was first rate and the dining room was cost and welcoming. We have... More

Stayed here again on business, we were well looked after from start to finish. Lovely spacious bedrooms, lovely toiletries, very warm rooms despite the cold outside. Shame about the mobile phone signal! Lovely food - cooked breakfast to order. Business lunches were awesome. Hopefully the new owners will attend to some of the outdated décor.

Concierge very helpful even carried my bag to my car to save my back. Breakfast plentiful with excellent quality bacon and sausage particularly. Very good service by all staff who were friendly, helpful and polite. Huge rooms with comfortable warm beds. Beautiful location surrounded on 3 sides by a lake. lovely gardens with a pond and pretty bridge.

I booked this hotel through secret escapes for a mid week treat for me and my wife. We arrived late afternoon and were immediately impressed by the frontage that was nicely lit and very welcoming.Having then signed in we were taken to our room in the attic area which was spacious and well presented. Shortly after we attended the bar... More
