Wish we'd found this place earlier. It's a lovely old house in a very secluded setting surrounded by water. You think you are miles from anywhere but Chester is only 15 mins away. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, showing us to a gorgeous room. We were upgraded to a junior suite and as we were meeting another couple... more

I booked the special offer available on Sundays nights which consists of 2 meals for the price of one and half price accommodation. On arrival we were met at the door by Paul Lawrence, the Head Receptionist, with whom I had made the booking and been very impressed. He took us up to our room, which had been upgraded from... more

Stayed at Nunsmere twoards the end of February. Wonderful setting, hotel is situated on land jutting out into the middle of a lake. This offers water views on three sides with lovely mature gardens to stroll around and relax. The Whitegate Way also runs close by offering miles of traffic free walking or cycling along what was once an old... more

Nunsmere Hall is a truly magnificent country house hotel which impressed from the moment we arrived up the sweeping tree lined drive. We had come to stay to celebrate a birthday and Nunsmere is a perfect venue for any celebration. The welcome was professional but relaxed and "Gardenia" was a beautiful room with a magnificent bathroom and lovely views over... more

We dined at Nunsmere Hall at the beginning of December. Having visited here on several occasions in the past felt confident that the meal would be good. Unfortunately it most definitely was not. The starter of fried scallops was cold, the main course of duck was not just pink, it was red raw & to complete an astounding repast, the... more

Went to this hotel for a nice relxing night stay and we definitely got that. The grounds are lovely to have a little amble and the surrounding area is beautiful. The only downside was the cost. There was nothing so fantastically amazing to justify the pirces. For that reason I wouldn't come back unless I managed to find a cheap... more

We stayed here recently for my partner's birthday and we were allocated the "lily" room. What a beautiful place. The hotel lives up to all of your expectations of a country home, and is truely special. Beautiful formal gardens, terraces and lakeside walks. The room was the best we have ever stayed in anywhere - lots of space and nice... more

Stayed here for 1 night. Had lunch, dinner and breakfast. Food was excellent and staff very attentive. Lovely room overlooking the gardens. Fluffy bathrobes, huge bath and homemade cookies in the room. No noise to be heard from the rest of the hotel. Would definately return. more

We stayed for two nights after a very late decision to get away for a weekend. Arriving at 10pm we managed to get settled in before having a nightcap and falling into a luxurious bed. Breakfast was superb with the excellent service and the wonderful gardens to overlook. We made a belated choice to eat on the Saturday evening and... more
