We stayed in the Nunsmere Hotel prior to travelling back to Australia. A great location, not too far from Manchester Airport and set in tranquil grounds that we could relax in and get some fresh country air before our flight. This old hall has fabulous specious bedrooms but the floorboards can and will creak which could disturb some people. Breakfast... More

Fantastic one night stay with dinner and breakfast. We enjoyed the beautiful woodland surroundings and well-kept house. Initially the room was far too hot, but a little airing out with the help of a fan and our room on the top floor became much cooler. We were surprised to be awoken by a bat desperately flying around at 4am, but... More

My wife and I had a most enjoyable stay here helped by fabulous weather. The location is lovely, very restful and with lots of character. We stayed in a junior suite at the front of the hotel which was very comfortable and spacious but with limited storage space. The staff were attentive and charming throughout our stay and the service... More

The drive up to the hotel is lovely, I am only sorry that it was just a fleeting visit we were at a wedding reception somewhere else and had booked this hotel for the night and what a wonderful surprise. We checked in and were given the Amaryllis room. A large room so spacious and relaxing, we slept well and... More

My partner and I recently attended a wedding here and stayed for 2 nights. From start to finish the whole experience was utterly amazing. The attention to detail was second to none. The staff were attentive, polite and could not do enough for us. The wedding, wedding breakfast and evening reception were perfect from start to finish and has to... More

We hired nunsmere for exclusive use for our daughters wedding on June 4 2015 and I have to say that we couldn't have chose a better venue. The location is stunning, the house and grounds just beautiful. The whole day was very special and the staff were all wonderful and made the day flow as it should have. Food was... More

My partner and I stayed in this charming hotel earlier this year and we couldn't think of a single fault. The setting on the lake was so romantic, the exterior and interior of the building is beautiful. We paid a little extra for a superior room, and it was definitely worth the extra. The room was extremely spacious and beautifully... More

We recently celebrated a family renunion at Nunsmere for 100 plus people over the weekend of May 15-17. We looked at many hotels before choosing Nunsmere and they did us very proud. The hotel, food, rooms, service and overall wonderful support and help that everyone gave us was far more than expected. While Keeley and Helen played the biggest roles... More

On arrival we were greeted by the doorman who was extremely pleasant & helpful. When I booked afternoon tea, I informed the hotel that one of the party was a "pescatarian". When we were seated in the lounge, the waitress asked us whether we would like tea or coffee & then gave us a menu to look at which actually... More
