Slightly pricey for what you get but its ok and only ok. Rooms are trying to be nice and I think the hotel is basically a pub with rooms, ok for one night but wouldn't want to stay longer than one night. Food is basic but again ok - nothing special and lots of fried/griddles food. Interior is desperate for... More

We were at Oulton Park for the weekend and couldn't take the rain no longer so went onto booking.com and booked a room here. The room was £60 which was more than I would usually pay but we were fed up. The room defiantly wasn't worth £60 more like £40 but the guy who checked us in was so friendly!... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night on 15th August. The property generally is very tired and unloved. The exterior has paint peeling off and the interior is no better: peeling wallpaper and chipped paint. The bedroom though reasonably furnished had a dirty carpet, peeling wallpaper and scuffed paintwork. The bathroom had cobwebs behind the door and an old... More

My wife and I stayed two nights. On arrival there wasn't a soul to be found anywhere on the ground floor of the premises. There was no bell at reception and I shouted in vain for attention. Eventually a female member of staff appeared and told us we had to wait until she had finished doing what she was doing,... More

Lovely staff who couldn't do enough to help us - we were initially given a ground floor room and asked for one on the first floor - this was no trouble at all and was changed immediately. The building is extremely creaky and I would imagine the ground floor rooms may suffer from the noise? The room we had was... More

We stayed here with friends whilst visiting the area to play in The Cheshire Darts Open in nearby Rudheath. Staff were extremely friendly, food was varied. I had the 20oz Gammon steak the first night and the 20oz Mixed grill on the second night and both were excellent. However the others in my party were not as fortunate with their... More

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the hotel, and would not recommended it. Having read various scathing reviews of the hotel, I was dubious about going but upon entering our room, I was pleasantly surprised- modern décor, clean towels and free water. However, initial looks were deceiving - we opened the door to the bathroom to... More

Had to stay here after a gruelling journey from Glasgow, the price dictated the standards similar to the previous nights stay in premium hotel chain. The last thing you need after a long hour drive is to be greeted by the smell of old poorly maintained corridors leading to even worse bedrooms. It was after 8pm, too late to do... More

This place is disgusting. I had (had being the operative word) a family sized room booked here for two nights. I arrived, and found a building that is in serious need of maintenance. On some of the windows the frames are so rotted you can almost see straight through them. The building general appearance is shabby and run down. I... More

Just got back from staying at Hardford Hall hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's such a shame that this lovely old building in a prime site could not be better. Marstons inns need to spend some money on upgrading and refurbishing this gem.
