We stayed here with friends whilst visiting the area to play in The Cheshire Darts Open in nearby Rudheath. Staff were extremely friendly, food was varied. I had the 20oz Gammon steak the first night and the 20oz Mixed grill on the second night and both were excellent. However the others in my party were not as fortunate with their... More

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the hotel, and would not recommended it. Having read various scathing reviews of the hotel, I was dubious about going but upon entering our room, I was pleasantly surprised- modern décor, clean towels and free water. However, initial looks were deceiving - we opened the door to the bathroom to... More

Had to stay here after a gruelling journey from Glasgow, the price dictated the standards similar to the previous nights stay in premium hotel chain. The last thing you need after a long hour drive is to be greeted by the smell of old poorly maintained corridors leading to even worse bedrooms. It was after 8pm, too late to do... More

This place is disgusting. I had (had being the operative word) a family sized room booked here for two nights. I arrived, and found a building that is in serious need of maintenance. On some of the windows the frames are so rotted you can almost see straight through them. The building general appearance is shabby and run down. I... More

Just got back from staying at Hardford Hall hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's such a shame that this lovely old building in a prime site could not be better. Marstons inns need to spend some money on upgrading and refurbishing this gem.

Sure, it's a bit tired, but it has style and history, and very good staff. We thought the food, dinner and breakfast were good, and again the staff were quick and helpful. Rooms were good, with windows that actually open. I'd recommend this place.

Some of the previous reviews for this hotel aren't too good to say the least, but we enjoyed our night at the Hartford Hall hotel. First off the staff were excellent, very friendly, all of them and we enjoyed our food, it was perfectly ok. Breakfast was good too and came out nice and quick. Our room (room 1) was... More

My reason for viewing trip advisor today and ownis to revisit a much loved old haunt of mine from 1979. Mr Anderson was manager and Paul Gibson was assistant manager (he was also my boyfriend) Back then, HH was running to a nice standard with clean rooms, friendly staff and good food. I have the opportunity for a re visit,... More

Shocker. From the outside it looks ok. From the inside its tired and drained, especially the staff. I checked in and was told food ends at 9.30 so I dumped my stuff and went to eat. After driving for 5 hours I was too tired to eat loads, but I did need to eat something. To my delight the menu... More

I stayed 3 night in the buildings off the hotel. The room was dimly lite and very dark. Cobwebs all round the ceiling. The central heating made a hurendous noise that woke me several times in the night. The duvet was just slig back into place and no attempt was made to spruce up the pillows. The walls was paper...
