This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in and, at £54 for room only, was far from cheap. We seriously considered driving the 43 miles home at midnight, rather than spend the night. Breakfast seemed a risk too far. Problems were: Strong and disgusting smell, possibly damp or sewage, in corridors, room and ensuite Dirty room full of... more
over priced under rated . food over priced mostly dripping in grease when served . breakfast was good, food hall staff were great . older bar staff was rude & not very atractive for the job .the rest of the youger bar staff were great very freindly and polite. rooms were ok heating did not work only 4 channels on... more
Worst place I have ever set foot in. Smelly, dirty a definate health hazard. My partner and I lasted all of 5 mins in this place before deciding to leave. The room furniture as it was was filthy the curtains were full of cigarette burns and the bathroom and shower were filthy and smelly. If you want to find out... more
ADVICE - Find another hotel! We stayed here on July 28th 2007 for one night (thank goodness!). When we arrived at 4pm, we were told that there was a problem with the room although no-one could tell us what the problem was and that they also couldn't find the key. As we were under time constraints, we asked to be... more
STAYED 3/09/2007 on arrival the outside looks very shabby with peeling paintwork mould growing on the walls and windows that have not been cleaned in years.the receptionist was quite cheery or was she smiling at another set of mugs about to stop here.the passages leading to the rooms are about as good as the exterior and the smell is horrendous... more
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I would strongly recommend anyone who is even thinking about staying here to reconsider. The room was dirty and damp, we had no towels, there were cobwebs on the ceiling and to top it off the balcony door was off its hinges and would not shut, so we had... more
I cannot believe this hotel is still open. It really is quite disgusting. I do realise it is a 'floating hotel' but surely it is not right that it stinks of stale water/sewage in the corridors? Our room was falling apart - peeling wallpaper, broken bed, broken window - the bathroom really smelled horrible and the toilet made a horrible... more
Starting with the good points: Yes, the staff (the ones who speak English are very friendly) oh and yes it's cheap -- we had a twin room for £49.00. Now the bad stuff: It does smell terribly of damp whe first entering. It's in a sorry state at the moment -- flaking paint, fraying carpets and views of the water... more
I had the misfortune to stay in this hotel and, whilst I appreciate the price is not bad, I did not appreciate the cigarette butts in the corridor, the very strong smell of sewage in the corridors, the plastic moulded bathrooms and the almost inedible food. Be warned those of you who read these reviews and still decide to chance... more
