I stayed here with a friend for 2 nights and I found it to be a lovely place. Very clean rooms, comfy beds and the staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The pub itself was very nice with a great choice of food and drink. Excellent location right across the road from the train station and the... More

We had a lovely pub lunch today here at The Coachman. The food was well presented and freshly cooked. The menu was very extensive and had plenty of choice. The bar staff were very welcoming and attentive. Will certainly go back again for another visit.

I have been coming to the Coachman since it reopened in March 2013 with family and friends and I can honestly say it is a great place, the food is excellent, especially the Sunday roasts, high quality meats at a very reasonable price. All the staff and management very friendly and the open fire on a cold day makes the... More

I took my Mum for lunch here having not visited it for a long time. Lovely refurbishments and very clean, especially the toilets. The lady who served us was very warm and welcoming. We had beautiful food, but the portion sizes are large, and prices are on the expensive side. If there was any feedback I would give, it would... More

Popped in here with a friend for a light lunch. The ham and pickle sandwich was Devine, ham was carved off the bone and the pickle tasted homemade. Chips were gorgeous too and good portion sizes. Whole place looks beautiful and tasteful since the extensive refurb. I will return, next time with my husband for dinner.

Nicely updated pub with modern decor throughout. We stayed overnight here too and were impressed. The rooms are a little small but are very reasonably priced, clean and comfortable. (Excellent mattresses) Not eaten there yet so can't comment on the food. I did think the drinks were a little overpriced personally. A pint of fosters and a bacardi and coke... More

We had planned to eat at the hartford hall hotel on school lane we did turn up there but decided against it after seeing the place ............. it was empty except in the bar area . That told us alot as the dining area looked more like a studio appartment with sofas in there ............ a studio appartment lived in... More

Lovely pub, good atmosphere. Not eaten here yet but keep returning for drinks. Fairly priced for a village pub, can get quite busy especially on weekends. Weekdays relaxed and quite. Well worth a visit if you pass!
