I attended a conference here recently whereas the accomodation and staff should be applauded the catering for lunch and an evening meal were an appauling disgrace for an establishment of this calibre. The breakfast service was slow, the replenishment of the buffet element left alot to be desired, the buffet lunch was from Iceland Frozen foods and the "barbeque" pathetic. more

My husband treated our daughter(age 12) and myself to a wonderful weekend away at this hotel. The hotel was stunning as were the grounds which I had a wonderful walk around. The best part for me though was the evening meal, which is why I wanted to write this. We were treated to a little extra taster at the beginning... more

We got married at Rookery Hall last weekend.... what can I say but EXCEPTIONAL. We were treated like royalty. ALL of the staff simply couldnt do enough for you, but a special mention has to go to the wedding/events team, in particular Wayne who looked after us all day. If youre thinking of Rookery Hall for you wedding, then please... more

After booking and paying for our 4 night stay, we looked at Trip Advisor and were a bit alarmed at some of the points made on bad service. We contacted the Hotel Manager, who in fairness did reply to our concerns, and assured us that any problems in the restaurant were isolated incidents. The location, staff, spa and rooms are... more

I booked an over night stay as a birthday surprise for my partner. We were offered a room in either the old or new building. We chose the new building which had TV's in the bathroom. Everywhere within the hotel was clean and tidy. We virtually had the whole spa to ourselves which was nice. Spa is lovely and relaxing.... more

We stayed here for two nights. The website doesn't truly reflect the hotel, with the rooms housed in a new wing. The hotel appears to have expanded its capacity in terms of rooms, but the kitchen hasn't kept up. We waited (along with several other tables) for over an hour for breakfast on the Sunday. The whole breakfast experience is... more

We stayed for a romantic night for a special occasion and booked an executive double room. Room was very spacious and well decorated with beautiful views over the gardens and countryside. Very clean all over the hotel. The pool, and jacuzzi etc was fantastic! We had the whole place to ourselves from 8.30 to 9.30 in the evening. Unfortunately, nobody... more

We were at Rookery Hall for a mates wedding which was a perfect choice. It is situated in large grounds with lovely gardens, ideal for the suuny weekend we had. Our room was a bit small compared to our other friends' but it was comfortable and quiet, away from the wedding venue. We had dinner the night before which was... more

Stayed for 2 nights on business. Overall this is a quality hotel, that provides excellent service, and food. The hotel is clean and rooms are modern comfortable and quiet. Only minor negatives are that, there is not a great deal of places to wander or go for a walk, due to the small grounds and small hotel. Also they must... more

We stayed at the hotel for one night last week on a trip to the Lake District. Unfortunately due to traffic we arrived late so couldn't use the spa as not enough time before dinner. We booked the dinner, B&B rate and I called to book dinner in advance. This was good as when we checked in the couple before... more
