Booked this at last minute to avoid motorway journey next day - snow due! Hotel about 4 miles from Manchester airport. Free parking. Free wifi (but not quick. Hotel a bit old but clean. Quite basic for a supposed 4*. Room Ok. Heating went off at night so a bit cold. Nice bar food and wine with good barman. Spa... More

Booked to stay as this was the nearest hotel to relatives nearby. Never again. The whole hotel needs a good clean. The room was grubby and dusty and the bed was terrible, the mattress had gone in the middle, every time one of us moved we both rolled into the middle. The shower head wouldn't stay up, so had to... We booked a girly spa break for 8 of us, this hotel is simply not as described. Rooms are hit and miss, twin rooms out of the way and a tired, doubles of a good standard and triple was very poor. Spa was a pool shabbily done up. The food in the hotel was however of good standard. For what... More

I booked my Husband and I in for a Living Social Deal spa afternoon. The deal was a half hour back massage and use of the facilities. I have mobility problems and I checked that the hotel was suitable for disabled people, which it said it was. I presumed, wrongly that this was also applied to the spa! On arrival... More

My husband and I stayed here for my Birthday as a package bought from spa breaks. On check in we found that the hotel is very dated, the lift was very claustrophobic with carpet on the walls with a door you had to open to get in... not great if you needed wheel chair/push chair access. We were given one... More

After being told twice that they didn't have my booking when I arrived at 9pm, I now ring earlier in the day to check. Fortunately my account is settled by the company so when they tried to charge me for an evening meal I hadn't had, I noticed immediately. I left at 5am to fly overseas from Manchester Airport, just... More

I stayed at the hotel last weekend for a surprise 50th birthday gathering I had arranged for mu sister. 4 of us Friday night and 10 on the Saturday. The whole stay was lovely and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Its not the poshest hotel or spa but was clean and comfortable. The food was lovely and the... More

I recently visited hallmark hotel manchester on a spa day with afternoon tea. On arrival I was quite shocked at the appearance of the building outside as it looks fairly dated and in much need of some attention and is not what is expected from a four star hotel! On entering the spa reception though I was pleasantly surprised at... More

I was really disappointed with the hotel. The bathroom had a distinct smell of urine when I first opened the door, this could have just been the shower curtain but wasn't really acceptable for a room that cost £80 for 1 night. When arriving at the hotel I was informed the jacuzzi was out of action and wouldn't be fixed... More
