We needed emergency accommodation as partner has health issues and we had no heating or hot water. This was local enough as I still had work early the next few days, and needed to be home to let work men in. From the moment we arrived, the staff very friendly, great atmosphere, food fantastic! I'm not a massive eater, but... More

Firstly, I wished to upgrade my room to one of their deluxe rooms overlooking the gardens and emailed them to query this. I was telephoned back promptly to make arrangements, very quick and hassle free! Nothing was too much bother. Being a same-sex couple, we were a little apprehensive about booking into a privately run hotel, however we needn't have... More

Hotel is nicely decorated and furnished, although the style may not suit everyone it is not offensive and i think it was lovely in a unique quirky way. The rooms are comfortable and clean and well furnished with decent furniture, thought has gone into the rooms, as with the rest of the hotel, there is alot of detail. The staff... More

I love afternoon tea and have had lots, this rated as one of the best. My first time at this hotel which is set in a lovely country area close to the M53 motorway so is easy to get to. We used a Big Deal voucher which cost us £14-99 for the two of us. Everything about the experience was... More

Thank you for your review, all our cakes are made on site by our chefs, and we try to do something a bit different, we are just creating a new Italian style afternoon tea, which we hope to launch in a couple of weeks. We look forward to seeing you again in the future Ingrid More

The Woodcote is a proper hotel, at guest house prices! My room was in a separate building. Overall impression is that the whole set up has been done to a high standard - decoration, facilities, plumbing, etc. Staff were very helpful, and nothing too much trouble. Small problem - it was not possible to turn the shower on to warm... More

Room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated and staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Bed was very comfortable and, after a good night's sleep, there was a delicious breakfast to be had. Very impressed, would recommend very highly!

Excellent food and the staff are enthusiastic in their wish to make you feel welcome. I was advised to get to the restaurant early as they expected a crowd later. A feta cheese and beetroot salad were delicious, followed by sliced gammon. Very nice. The breakfast was excellent. The bed was very comfortable, but the floor was fake wood. The... More

Stayed here overnight after a day in Chester. Plenty of parking, very friendly & relaxed welcome. The room was very big & comfy although very hot, had to turn off all the radiators & open the windows. The shower was big & hot but not very powerful, had to move around to get all the soap off. Overall, very good.... More

Nice hotel with very friendly staff. A 15 min walk to the trainstation. The train will take you to Chester in 15 min and into Liverpool in 30. 5 min to the The Chimneys, cosy old pub. And of course, you can always stay in the hotel where they will supply you with a pint of Tetleys and something to... More

From excellent rooms, sumptuous food and very polite staff i would recommend the Woodcote Hotel to business men, contractors or holiday makers. Or those who just want to have a pleasant evening out eating excellent food from a diverse menu.
