We had booked a double room in the main house in the spring of this year. I specifically requested not to be put in the annex as I had read the rooms were cold and damp. We arrived and were shown to a room in the annex which we declined. As all but one room was taken in the main house we were shown a small twin room and when I pulled down the sheets they were filled with hair and dirty spots. We immediately left the property having been there all of 25 minutes at most. Even though they did not provide the room as requsted months ago and acknowledged the hair in the bed they charged us for the night. We have since learned this property caters to single young people working construction in the area and not travellers which I wish I had known in advance. The price per room was about 55 pounds (very reasonable if it had of been clean) but we moved to the Village Hyde hotel to a lovely room for only 10 pounds more which was an absolute bargain compare to this property. more
