Wonderful clean friendly establishment. Catered for our wedding breakfast, food exactly what we asked for.Staff were only to glad to make our wedding day wonderful. Guests that traveled also booked rooms and were very happy with the accommodation. Although other events were taking place at the venue it had no effect on the good service we received. The night function... More

You get what you pay for? I paid £30 for an overnight stay as I was attending an event in the venue attached to the hotel (The Box). With that in mind, I knew that there would be some noise leakage into my room. That was okay- I would be contributing to that noise anyway. BUT... The bed was next... More

as you enter the hotel a big sign says "I hope you've not come here to sleep", we were attending the Music event in the BOX venue attached to the hotel, on the first floor, our room was on the 2nd floor, yes we could hear the music but it didn't stop me sleeping. The double room en suite could... More

I stayed a night in a single room with a nicely updated bathroom with an enormous bath. It was on the top floor so I heard no noise. After staying in modern generic hotel rooms with locked windows, it was a pleasure to walk up the stairs with lovely Victorian carved wooden bannisters, open an old sash window, and look... More

I had the misfortune of staying at this hotel, regardless of the cheap price it really isn't value for money. The room I stayed in was old and dirty, the bathroom was disgusting and don't even get me started on the carpet! The noise from outside is absolutely ridiculous, even when you go to bed at 4am! Girls fighting outside... More

This is not a nice hotel and even the cheap rates aren't enough to save it. The phrase "you get what you pay for" doesn't work in this case. The rooms weren't particularly nice, the whole place just didn't seem to be looked after. The music from the bar was loud, as they warn you on the notice at reception... More

Crewe Junction. Heart of the West Coast Main line. Turn left out of the station, proceed for 200 yards and you're at the Royal Hotel. Externally it looks a bit faded; internally it's pretty good. Single room en-suite (including Breakfast) at £44/night is really good value IMO. The room/double-bed/shower were excellent. I haven't yet been fined £50 for using the... More

Very close to the railway station and at £35 for a single room it is good value. Friday and Saturday Disco / Live music venue can make it lively. The Nantwich road has many restaurants and fast food outlets close by including Indian and Thai. Bus stop at the station with buses to the Potteries and Chester.

Despite negative reviews from other guests, we had no problems with noise on a Friday night. Our room was fine for the price and warm, even though it was a very cold night. Above average, very generous breakfast.

During my stay at the hotel I was waiting for the crew of only fools and horses to come out of the wood work and call it trip to Crewe and not Margate. The room was cold even thought the heat was on but all of this heat went straight out the window as it has that many gaps in... More
