Crewe is not noted for it's charm and history but here is a delightfully quirky hotel in a Jacobean building. It is one of the hotels in the portfolio of the excellent Q-Hotels group. The sight of it is quite breathtaking as you come up the 1/2 mile drive. The actual complex is massive with an added conference centre and... More

My friend and I had a really delicious afternoon tea in the Sheridan Lounge. The surroundings are elegant, the service attentive and the food delicious. There is a good selection of tea which is frequently refreshed, and the finger sandwiches, delicate cakes and scones are a treat. Coffee drinkers are catered for and nothing was too much trouble for the... More

When approaching the hotel from its long driveway, the view of the building is quite breath-taking. Stepping into its hushed interior is like entering the set of a period drama. It is, quite simply, beautiful and oozes history from its many oak-panelled walls. Ten out of ten, then. What is disappointing however, is that the guest bedrooms have a very... More

Dear Cath S Thank you for your recent review. I am pleased to read that your overall stay was a good experience and can only apologise that our modern west wing was not to your complete satisfaction. I do hope that at some time in the future we may have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Crewe Hall. Kind... More

Impressive approach to hotel, the old building has some amazing rooms - worth looking around those not in use for meetings. Friendly receptionist, lovely spacious bedroom in new part of building with lovely view over grounds. Dinners disappointing, husband violently sick afterwards. Service good in restaurant, poor in bar area, they were not interested in serving food. Some parts of... More

Dear 14Jaycee Thank you for your review regarding your recent stay with us at Crewe Hall. I was most dissapointed to read of your dissatisfaction with our Food and Beverage offering. There are many ways in which a person may become unwell, not always attributed the food eaten immediately beforehand. At Crewe Hall we have strict controls in place to... More

We are attending a wedding there in September so thought we would stay over. The hotel had told the bride and groom that any guests would get a 10% discount on the best room rate. Phoned the hotel for the best available room rate which was the same as on internet sites. Then asked them to knock off the 10%.... More

Dear fletchManchesterUK Thank you for your feedback regarding your experience with our reservations team at Crewe Hall. The rate quoted to you was indeed our flexible rate less 10% discount which is the agreed discount for our wedding parties. Although this rate is offered to our wedding guests we do however extend this offer to guests who book through our... More

We got married here back in March and found the staff generally very attentive and helpful. The day went off without a hitch (no pun intended) and all the guests were as impressed as we were with both The Library (ceremony) and Drawing Room (reception). Not to mention the excellent food and wine selection. All the guests commented on the... More

I took a friend as a special treat, hotel is very nice and all the meals we had were 5* and wouldn't fault anything about our stay. We went to the spa the morning after staying the previous evening. After waiting 20 mins and listening to staff having a row in reception I went into a joint room for our... More

A superb 17th century hotel located in Crewe in Cheshire. This Grade I listed building has been attracting refined guests since the 17th century, including our current monarch Queen Elizabeth II. This hotel is a fine mix of historic Jacobean and sharp 21st century architecture. The magnificent history oozes throughout the hotel from exquisite marble fireplaces to stained glass windows. Yet the contemporary edge of Crewe Hall can be found throughout the hotel from the revolving bar in the brasserie to the state-of-the-art leisure club. The hotel has 117 spacious, comfortable bedrooms, some are located in the historic old building but majority can be found in the new contemporary wing. Just minutes from the M6 motorway, Crewe Hall is only 24 miles from Chester’s sights and shops and close to Liverpool and Manchester.Crewe Hall is home to a modern conference and events centre.
