This Travelodge is in line for refurbishment and definitely needs it. The decor, furnishings and carpets are old and tired and a musty damp smell hits you as you open the room door. But having said that everything was scrupulously clean and it is a credit to the cleaning staff that they take such good care in the shabby surroundings.... More

Crewe Barthomley is one of the few travelodges that have not been updated so it is abit of a trip down memory lane. Staff were good and the room was adequate with plenty of hot water and given I stayed on a Saturday was very quiet.

This isn't the most impressive Travelodge of them all, however, when booking, there is a warning that it hasn't been refurbished yet. The location is good, just off the M6 so very convenient. It was also quieter than most of the other Travelodge's. This may be because it is behind a high bank of trees and set back from the... More

The staff at this Travel lodge were friendly and helpful, the overall standard of the room was run down to say the least but the staff informed us they were due an upgrade so i would definitely stay again. .

The property feels dated and in urgent need of renovation. It also had that damp smell that is never a good sign. On the flip side, the reception persion was friendly and efficient. Additionally, the room itself - although basic - was fine.

Staff were excellent and check in was lovely. Rooms was ok but bed linen was dirty did complain but it wasn't changed. The pillow cases were dirty and the sheets had holes in them. Room was clean and tidy but shower was not very good couldn't get a water temperature that was ok either too cold or too hot. It... More

Worst travelodge I have been to. Damp smell as soon as we walked in. Old mattress with springs sticking out, dirty carpet and dirty corners in bathroom with mouldy sealant. Only used for a stop over halfway between our journey. So the location was excellent but the rest horrible. Did not sleep well at all

Booked Travel Lodge as a journey break returning home from a Lake District getaway. Used Sat nav to locate hotel but postcode is too wide an area so ended up travelling along A500 towards Nantwich. No signage on Motorway Junction. Luckily I spotted a hoarding for Road Chef and was aware there is a link with Travel Lodge - we... More

We arrived at the travel lodge after inn travelling an extra 30 minutes to find it due to road works and poor diversion signs. On arrival we were greeted by the lady on reception she was pleasant enough. We then walked the dingy damp smelling corridors to our room (room 19) the tired carpet had seen better days, with tape...
