A business hotel must have internet access that works. I was cut off for my two days stay. The staff were unable to get internet working (wireless and wired had the same problem). The 3G coverage is very bad and shaky for all operators. As a result there was no availability of internet what so ever. The shower was for... more

I have enjoyed the Alderley Edge Hotel, over the last eight years, because I enjoy quality and that's what this whole place specialises in. The rooms, the service, the restaurant food are all absolutely superb whether for lunch with a client, a new business meeting or a weekend away with the family ... and I've used this hotel for all... more

I was expecting a certain standard of the Alderley Edge Hotel when I visited on business, given that it is in uber-posh Cheshire and it cost £130 a room, but it did not deliver on any level. First of all I was directed to my room to find someone else was in it, was not given an apology or helped... more

Our room at the Alderley Edge Hotel was absolutely tiny, the double bed was small by modern standards yet it was still a struggle to get between the bed and the large TV cabinet. Damage to the corners of the cabinet and corner of the bathroom wall showed that we were not the first people to find it very difficult... more

We booked a double room for one night in June through LateRoom.com and only paid £70 with breakfasts included. We did not expect much given the mixed reviews but we though this hotel provided exactly what we needed. Alderley Edge is a cute village and this hotel has got some nice buildings and gardens. The room was definitely on the... more

I have stayed here several times over the past few years on business. The positives include the fact that the building and gardens are lovely and the breakfasts are very nice. On the downside, the rooms although clean, are very small and could do with an update. I have also found the service lacking. Although I was there for a... more

We had the evening reception for our wedding here in December 06 and spent our first night here as a married couple. The reception was fantastic, the food briliant and was organised by the staff with no fuss. Nothing was too much trouble for every member of staff we spoke too. All our guests repeated to us the same sentiments.... more

I normally select cheaper hotels but business took me here. This is one of the best hotels I know. The restaurant was above my high expectation and the citrus dessert selection was very reasonably priced. My glass was never empty. I would like to return to this hotel. more

I have family in Stockport and my husband arranged for us to stay here arranged by his work. First impresssion was great, easy parking and a friendly welcome. The reception staff was excellent when i enquired about a taxi, they enquired about prices and booked it for us. The suite we had was called the Capesthorne. The room was very... more

This hotel has a very high opinion of itself positioning itself as a leading country house hotel. It is not, it is a pleasant family run town hotel. Decor is Victorian, rooms pleasant, great showers. Staff friendly and helpful. My overwhelming memory of this hotel was the officious notice in the Bedroom warning guests not to discard syringes, sharps or... more
