We stayed for two nights over a weekend and were extremely pleased with our choice of hotel. Our room was on the small side and in the oldest part of the hotel, (on the outside over the window was the date 1601), so the room had lots of character, sloping ceilings and an overall feeling of quirkiness. There was nothing... More

Stayed for two nights in January 2015 while visiting relatives in the area. Such an amazing place, with exceedingly friendly and helpful staff. We were in room 302, I believe, at the very end of a very long hallway, so it was definitely quiet. Upon arrival and checkin, our room was cold as the radiator wasn't working. A call to... More

On a business trip I stayed in this hotel for 24 hours, eating dinner breakfast and lunch there. This historic hotel has a good location in the centre of town, with free parking, yet it is quiet. My room was reasonably priced, and had everything you would expect, including a good level of heating during a very cold spell of... More

First impressions were very good, the hotel was spacious and seemed to offer a lot. Car park was handing and pre-arrival directions for SatNav a bonus. The Hotel is 400 years old and its character and splendid was there to see, the room was nice, albeit the window was banging in the wind so a little improvisation with a coffee... More

Last minute getaway to see the New Year in.It was good but oh it could have been so much better.Checked in to a very quite hotel, room was large recently refurbished but lacking natural light and cold asked to change and offered a slightly better room but still cold, had to ask for heater which took an age to arrive so sat... This hotel which is over 400 years old is right in the centre of Wisbech and yet still has free parking available. It was absolutely brilliant for my business visit. Being of this age you would expect some 'quirkiness' and the hotel does not let you down on this. The stairs slant and tip all ways about and are of... More

My company chose this hotel for me while away on long term business and I had hoped I would be somewhere a little more lively. However, rooms are a good size with TV and en-suite, though the WiFi is a little unreliable at times. Friendly waitresses, though they seem a little understaffed at times with one waitress serving everyone alone.... More

Stayed here with my partner as we were visiting family in the area, What a find this hotel is! The character is charming and the hotel has been sympathetically updated. The wonky staircase is for me the highlight if this hotel. We booked a superior double and although our room was lovely, clean and had a very comfy bed it... More

We stay here 3 or 4 times a year when visiting family in the area. We are always made to feel welcome and dare I say special. The staff are very freindly, the room very comfortable adn clean. and although we have never eaten an evening meal (we are usually with our family in the evenings) the breakfast is very... More

Stayed hear for 2 nights, room very spacious and comfortable although was a bit dusty in the corners of the carpet like it hadn't been hoovered for a while, for an old hotel it was very nice. We had lunch in the bistro which didn't start off too well, staff almost all who work there are European, I'm guessing polish,... More
