We stayed at Elme Hall for one night as a family of six. There was a slight mistake with the room, however this was resolved in minutes. The room was perfect, in a clean and good state. The breakfast was excellent and the staff couldn't do enough. The young receptionist was very profficient and polite. Excellent value for money. Well... More

Stopped off at the hotel on spec, I was so glad I did, the service I received was excellent, and considering it was quite late at night the Receptionist still had a big smile on her face. As I was a woman traveling on my own I was placed on the first floor which I didn't even have to ask.... More

We were married and had our reception at the Elme 3 Years ago and have made the yearly pilgrimage ever since always staying in the same room. As usual we were met by the smiling owner. The Hotel goes from strength to strength. We had a wonderful Dinner and then whiled away the hours afterwards on a sofa in the... More

Booked for a meal (needn't have bothered, as for most of the time we were the only ones there) waitress brought the menu and then returned within two minutes for order. Ordered chicken with bacon and cheese, it arrived with a fatty piece of bacon on top and covered in a barbeque sauce, no mention of this on menu. Pork... More

Thank you for visiting Elme Hall and for taking the time to post a review, it's unfortunate you never mentioned any of these problems to either myself or the waitress when we served and spoke with you during and after your meal., as we could have easily addressed most of your concerns. The absence of any mention of problems along... More

We stayed in the additional building at the side of the hotel for two nights on September the 9th. Although I am late posting this review I feel on reading the other reviews it is important to inform others about the service we received. On the mroning of the 10th it was extraordinarily busy and it took over one hour... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us, as it is now over four months since your stay I hope you don't mind if I refresh our memories of events. Your family group arrived for breakfast just as it was finishing and being cleared. Being a parent myself and identifying the constraints and delays that do... More

We had a lovely experience at the Elme Hall, the rooms so clean, immaculate and well presented that we felt like the very first guests in the room. Food is very well presented and we went for the ‘set 3-course’ evening dinner at under 12 quid. Staff professional but at the same time very friendly & helpful all providing us... More

Stayed for three nights with a travel group in the area to see the Thursford Spectacular. The hotel was warm and welcoming as were the staff, the rooms were spotless if a little sparse in their furnishings (no drawers for example). The food was excellent we had a good choice of either full English or Continental breakfast and we had... More

Just returned from a 3 night stay in the new Lodge, although only booked on line (excellent rate) for one night we extended after having such a good night's sleep. The beds and the showers are probably the best we have ever experienced in a Hotel, the rooms spacious, very clean, very comfortable and well equipped. We made full use... More

Although prior to the dates given to choose from on this review site, my daughters paid for the Bridal Suite when my husband and I married and it was in the region of some £300 for the one night. We arrived at reception at 6.45pm and were greeted by a surly receptionist and an equally surly man and were handed... More

Thank you for your review concerning your December 2010 stay, your comments are surprising in many respects in that our £220.00/night Jacuzzi Bridal Suite (full English included) was closed for refurbishment most of December, and we do not have male staff on reception at any time. Unfortunately when a booking is made, we have no idea unless told that it... More
