A lot of work put into refurbishing the place. Nice bedrooms clean and comfortable. Restaurant not open yet but opening soon. looks promising offering good quality home cooked food. Looking forward to seeing when opens properly

I would like to apologise to folk who stayed at the Coach House Hotel after my review! Having stayed at several other places since realise that the room was very small, as was the bathroom. At the time is suited our needs and was clean, bed was comfortable, and we were lucky that shower, TV etc. worked fine. However whilst... More

As one reviewer said, "stay elsewhere." The pictures of the mold in the bathroom do not do justice to the levels of mold that are actually present. My bathroom stank like a public lavatory and the rest of my 'accommodation' was cramped, dirty and uncared for. Food in the restaurant can be described as "extremely basic" pub style food -... More

Lots of other reviews pan the place, and I can understand that. It's the manager, not the owner, and he was as helpful as could be when I stayed. So I don't recognise the descriptions of him. The hotel's in the middle of nowhere. Which means countryside things - lots of wildlife in evidence... So. Room 12. First floor. Large... More

I suggest you stay somewhere else. Seriously. There are other hotels. It reminds me of a skanky old US motel, miles from anywhere on a main road. The owner clearly doesnt care about the place and it shows. The rooms haven't been refurbished for about 10 years and despite booking a double room, it was clearly a small double bed,... More

I stayed here for a family matter I was told my room would cost 69 pound however when it came to payment he put a £34 tax charge on. The place could be a real nice place to stay if it had an owner who's heart was in this kind of work. The atmosphere is dreadfull the place is ment... More

The room was small not particularly well laid out. TV situated in a cabinet with doors that only opened part way meant that it could only be watched from a seat placed between the twin beds! Very convenient - not. Shower only, no bath and lukewarm water from the taps. I was not pleased to see the container of mouse... More

I recently stayed here with some friends whilst attending a wedding nearby. Although reasonably clean, the rooms are very small and the facilities of poor quality. The TV didn't work properly and the sink in the bathroom was so small I found it hard to have a shave without pouring water all over the floor. My friend's room was even... More

We weren't sure what to expect from the road but hey on walking round to the main entrance a lovely courtyard (shame fountain wasn't working but I suppose it could be noisey for some of the rooms). Friendly welcome, nice clean room with en-suite and a lovely comfortable bed (not always something we have found at other places so a... More

We booked this hotel, as convenient to visiting Wimpole Hall and Ickworth house en route to our main holiday in Suffolk. We were warned in advance by email, that the hotel was closed on Sundays (bar and restaurant), and we were offerred a restaurant booking at their "sister hotel" 5 miles away. We declined, and decided to do our own... More
