On the 26th July my new wife and I held our wedding reception at the ferry boat inn. Bryan has recently taken over within the last few weeks and was on top of everything. Any last minute special requests for our guests he accommodated with no hesitation. We are really impressed with the whole organisation and smooth running of the... More

We stayed for one night last week ad we were delighted. the location was beautiful and we recieved a very friendly welcome. Our room was clean and the insect screens to the windows meant we could have them open all ight with no midges from the river nearby. Our eveing meal was very nice and good value for money. The... The ferryboat has had a mixed history but I note a new manager now in place and already you can feel a new approach. We ate here twice in the last three days. Super service and good tasty food. Curry night on Wednesday this week was the best curry yet with a new presentation which works really well. Also to... More

Our meal was fine, no problems in waiting of about ten minutes for our starter. My only bug bear is that they allow dogs in the pub. This is not very hygienic around food. There were 4 in the night we went.

Thank you for your feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed your meal with us. We choose to allow dogs in our restaurant due to our location and the lac of other restaurants in the area that allow dogs in their restaurants though we appreciate this may not be for everyone. I do hope this will not deter you from visiting... More

Stayed here for one night to break a long journey. Arrived about 9 pm after a tiring (after work ) journey. Very pleasant young man showed us to our room and offered to carry our small bag. Room 2 was fairly small but had nice views over the river and fly screens which meant we could leave the windows open.... More

Called in for lunch on a lovely day, the barman was probably the most rude person I've met behind a bar , just think of a young Basil Fawlty, the place was not busy , but people were being told that it was an hour and a half wait for food, what do they do if the place is full.... More

Thank you very much for your feedback though I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy your visit with us. Since your feedback we have now got a new manager and improvements have already been made to our garden and it is now far more inviting. The rest of your comments have also been taken on board and I... More

Were do I start? A thousand year old pub with a grave in the bar. Staff were all very friendly and the pub grub was great, bar was very very comfortable and cosy. We had a great view of the white swans on the river.this is a must stay pub for people who want to enjoy the English countryside at... More

We live fairly locally and we hadn't been here for a couple of years (due to a bad experience!!) and decided to give it another try on a Sunday tea time. It was fairly busy but there was only 1 person behind the bar who was doing everything, taking food orders, payments and serving the drinks. You find your table... More

For a wedding celebration it would be great but for the wedding party we attended we could not believe the poor standard of food presented as a buffet. We found the variety of items to be sandwiches and other 'filling type things' that we were able to resist. I would not consider returning again.

What a shame! Went for a meal and the place was filthy. Covered seats had stains all over them - clean them or even better replace them! Chewing gum under chairs and tables and eve chewing gum on the decorative implements placed for atmosphere - classy! Many years ago this pub was a great place to eat and have a... More
